Oh, they might build a few (gotta keep the folks at the Riverside shipyard busy, you know) but yeah: a total of seven Starfleet ships destroyed at Vulcan by Narada, with the bulk of the fleet caught well out of position and "engaged" in unspecified activities at a distant location called the Laurentian System. Until there's reason given to think otherwise, I'd figure that either those ships will be ready for duty just as soon as they return from that plot device which kept them out of the first movie, or there'll have to be a new emergency cobbled up to sidetrack them again so that Enterprise can save the day.[another animated thread bomb - impressive collection you've got there, really]
lol actually, only four or six ships were obliterated by a mining ship.
The other ones were at the Luracwhateverthefuck Plotdevice System. They probably won't bother building new ships.

We know that the Farragut was destroyed. Whatever the other ships were, they appeared to be of a piece with the Enterprise. They were all shiny and new with the new nacelle design of the Enterprise (and looked nothing like the older Kelvin style design).

I'm not sure if maybe I'm misunderstanding you... but all of the other starfleet ships shown in the movie looked very much like the older Kelvin style. They were in fact, "kitbashes" of the Kelvin.
