I've been to a couple of the Vegas cons. It is THE PLACE to go for a real immersion in Trek, but, it is also very impersonal. You have to pay big bucks to get into any venue where you can talk personally to one of the stars. For that, I suggest some of the smaller cons that happen around the states. I saw Kate, Ethan (Neelix), and Bob (EMH) in Tulsa a couple of years ago. It was an intimate setting and the three of them spent over an hour talking together with us listening in. You just have to pay attention to the different con providers to find out who is going to be where. One summer, we saw Tim Russ in Columbus at a small con. He was there for the whole weekend, played his guitar, and hung out most nights at the hotel bar. It was awesome!

YES! I knew she was reminding me of someone other than Katharine Hepburn but the name just wasn't coming to me. A lovely Bacall, she is. And I love those shoes.
