Awesome GT5 review

Speaking of which, anyone here have the game? I haven't even started playing it yet, but I'm wondering if we have enough people here for race days

I'm playing GT5 right now. Pretty awesome game, has a lot of rare and fast cars in it which is a major plus. Kind of wish it had a few more cars, but those are "my" wants and I seriously doubt they'll ever appear in any GT game.

Can't wait until I get my hands on a Shelby GT500. I've already picked up a S14 Nissan 240sx, and a 71 Mach 1 as well. I have to say the S14 and the Mach are my favorite two over all, out of the 5 or 10 cars I have right now.


And Kart racing...frickin' insane...

This is the game that makes me want to get a PS3. If only I had the money...

It's not bad. Negative points are that there's no enough race tracks. I would love to be able to race all F1 race tracks for example, but only Monza and Nurburgring are included. And the damage models are pointless. Crashs are not realistic at all, not even in the latest patch. But the variety of cars is great, the special challenges are interesting, too. And then all the side stuff about tuning, modding your car, taking photographs of the races, etc...

It's the game that edged me to get a PS3, and I did

And yeah, the crashing might not be all that especially with the damage modelling, but I think that's the case with any game with licensed cars. With all the licensed cars in it, you wouldn't want any of the manufacturers to want to sue them.
