Batman Will Be Rebooted

But if they're trying to do a 2013 Justice League movie... Would that Batman spin out into his own Bat-movies, or would this proposed reinvention be another kettle of fish altogether? And might Arnie Hammer still do the role? A curious world demands answers!

He's mentioned in the past that he was bummed when they pulled the plug on it and his stock has went up a bit since The Social Network. Unless they lowballed his salary or he had scheduling conflicts or something I don't see why he wouldnt be still interested.

Yes, but George Miller has long since moved on. I imagine a new director would have his own opinions regarding casting.

I like the concept of having others come in and do their own version of these characters. DC should go the opposite route of Marvel movies and not try to shoehorn their films into a "shared universe."

A "Justice League" movie would be awesome, but they should take a page from Darwyn Cooke's New Frontier. Having the film be a period piece would allow DC and WB to cast other actors in the roles of Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman while not infringing on any upcoming movies or TV shows featuring the Trinity.

(Yes, I know that WB Animated already did a New Frontier adaptation. A period film doesn't have to be the same story.)

LOOOOVVVVEEE ITTTT!!!! :techman:

If I was an actor on that film, I don't think I would come back for another Origin story. The first dark knight was good enough. Also that movie is cursed.

I would think some people would be jumping for joy. The Justice League Batman will probably be more comic book inspired instead of Nolan's realistic approach.

In spinoff movies we could have a better robin, clayface, and better freeze

The movies started in the 80s and went in the 90s was a reboot to the 60s one. The new trilogy was a reboot to the 90s version.

.

Well, technically, the movies started in the forties, were rebooted in the sixties, rebooted again in the eighties, and again in the nineties!

YO.

It's weird how everyone has forgotten that Batman is a fucking kid's comic book character. I blame Frank Miller.

Good. That means that the next movie will offer us something completely new for a superhero movie: closure.

Like it or not, but X-Men: Last Stand provided closure for that series.

Following actual comics to a tee.

I was thinking the same thing. How can people bitch about comic book reboot movies when comic books reboot themselves every other year?

Me too-and, for example, also only a year after this one, both of Superman!

That's not so much a reboot as it is just poor timing.

Batman really should be treated like Janes Bond. That series went without an actual reboot or origin story for...40 years was it?
