I've never before been this excited about an Aquaman comic, and really it was inevitable given his fondness for Mera and writing Arthur in "Brightest Day". I doubt many others here will care much lol.

I almost did a thread on this yesterday but figured either a)few would care or b)the jokesters would derail the thread.
Aquaman is a character I really like. As mentioned by others the Peter David run and Morrison's use for 40 or so issues in the 90's JLA showed what a non-joke, seahorse riding, fish talker Aquaman isn't. He's a member of the DC's elite stable for a reason.
I will buy this for it's run to support the book. I stuck with the last series even after the Year One stuff started hoping it might turn around before getting cancelled.
I just want Johns to stick with the book for at least 2yrs and establish a firm foundation post Brightest Day for the Aquaman Family before handing it off and when it is handed off make sure it's in good hands with good vision for the character.
Stupid Aquaman canceling Flash.
Okay, not really, but it still was stupid for DC to can The Flash after just restarting it and giving the character its own summer crossover.
They are relaunching the book. This is just another "cancellation" ploy borrowed from Marvel like their "cancellation" of Fantastic Four. And people fall for it everytime. *Sigh*
At post #2 I said, "What, Cancel Flash? When did that happen?"
Then I thought what was posted here. It's the ole cancel/relaunch ploy just to get a #1 and rope in the suckers.
So glad that for some characters(Flash is one and this confirms my decision) I decided to just read TPB. I'm over the cancel/reboot. I like my numbering system to keep going up not hit reset but I like the stories and if the industry is going to kill the unique collectibility of the numbering then they don't need my $$$ every month for every title. Aquaman will need it though, so it'll get it.
