FRINGE gets 4th Season

I'm torn because I really enjoy the show's mythology but the rest of the series sucks--so 15% of me is glad it was renewed. I'm going to finish out this season since the final 3 episodes are suppose to be mythology intensive and I'm curious if the mess they seemingly have made will somehow be pulled together in a more satisfying way.

Depending on how they handle those episodes and what they set up for next season will determine whether I will come back to it in the fall. The writers need to stop dragging their feet and start doing a heavily serialized self contained season long story arc next year a la S1 of Heroes jettisoning the warmed over X-Files standalones and reducing the romance and make sure all the threads are tied to the mythology and are constantly advancing the plot but it will probably be more of the same and if so I'll just tune into the myth episodes and skip the rest since they are predictably forgettable.

I wonder if were going to get another origin story next season. They should really do one atleast once a season. Still wanna know how Walter gets his lab assistant killed and ends up institutionalized .

I want a either a show set in the 1970's or 1990's just so I can see a cool "period" opening title sequence!!!!

Or maybe a 1930's fringe opening sequence with Nikolai Tesla and Walter Bishop's father as the plot point!!!!!!

I'm glad. While I've been mixed about season three, the show deserves to go out as the writers intended. Season four will probably be the last. It will be near 100 episodes which is needed for syndication.

Yeah right.

I'm gonna assume that somebody who would sit and watch something they have 85% dislike for will watch just about anything.

You know this show isn't going to do that. This "mythology" is a made up television term that gets applied to to TV shows after they've ended when fans are picking out important episodes.

Wow... I'm very surprised. Pleasantly so. And to get the full 22? Wow. I barely cared about this show for the first two years, but in the third season it really became interesting.

Good to hear. Hope this means they'll focus on how to really make the fourth season more consistently strong. First half of Season 3 was awesome but this second half has been hit and miss for me. Still, it's about the best of the sci-fi options we have currently on the air.

And more Olivia and/or Fauxlivia but as little as possible of Bellivia.

I couldn't disagree more. Anna Torv does an awesome Leonard Nimoy impression. She's a fantastic actress, but Olivia isn't a very interesting character compared to the alternate personas she's gotten to play this past year. I welcome any storyline that lets her show off her chameleonic skills and play someone other than Olivia Prime (to coin a phrase), no matter how conceptually ludicrous (since, after all, this show left any trace of credibility behind long, long ago).

Wonderful news! This is one of the best shows on television in any genre. For once, Fox gets it right. Indeed, I am mystified to see that they *have* supported the show this much...I cant help but wonder why.

I'd certainly be up for Olivia channeling Shatner.

"I put some Nexus in her tea."

They have always had that problem.

First half of season 1 sucked, ened great.
First half of season 2 sucked, second half great.

Third seems to be the oppisite.

Have we seen Jax anywhere? Let's make sure he didn't die when reading the news.
