AV Challenge: Renegades or their Minions

Masters of Villainy arise!

The High council needs your help identifying Renegade Time Lords or their minions!

1. Members will create and submit an avatar representing a Renegade Time Lord or their Minions, the master is welcome but not the only choice out there..From Omega to the monk and beyond!

2. Said avatars not to exceed Board rules of 140x140 pixels or 140kb for animated.

3. Avatars to be submitted by March 23 2011.

4. Avatars of Renegade Time Lords or their minions from comic book artwork are also permitted. :techman:

Rassilon may not be the best choice. He got the Gallifreyan high council's approval before wanting to initiate the final sanction..all of the time lord's were pretty much in agreement with him, in the end of time it was the doctor who was pretty much the renegade, though he saved all of reality..

yeah, it's my first one of these, I figured you guys can get 10 days to submit..gives people who work some time, or some of us who want an obscure villain or minion a chance to find their image online.. before Borusa, I was trying to find the 3 doctors Omega minions but was unsuccessful..ya know the bubble guys with the one claw hand..

anyhow, 10 days sounded cool.. it's only 4 more then the normal 7 day avatar contest.

I was hoping this guy was going to be the big bad behind the Silence, with that mysterious TARDIS from the Lodger and everything else I am still hoping it is.
 
I sometimes wonder if Magnus is the Time Lord responsible for that Tardis.. he is a pretty cool and unused character.. I think that he was once a time lord engineer, and went rogue, changing his name to the War Chief!

the fact that he can readily create Tardises makes the fact that a tardis was being built on Earth kinda fit the narrative..

I would love to see Moffat tap the War chief as a character..who knows, maybe he will, and maybe that Tardis will be left unexplained until later..

one can only dream! let's face it, the master has been done to death..the classic series has so much potential for villains in reuse, it is just a shame no one updates and brings them up instead of the same old same old.

Moffat may give us new villains going forward who may become just as popular as the standardized Dalek, Cybermen, Master tri-fecta..

excellent choice with lucy! yea I suppose the 8th to the current doctor can be considered renegade since he went rogue in his 8th incarnation..

It would be a welcome pleasure to see no Dalek/Cyberman/Master series crisis for a while. The Master actually bored me in the last outing and I have been very happy to see Moffat using other villains. However, I would love to see some other past villains like these surface once in a while. It really seems a shame that RTD was so adamant to do away with the Timelords rather than just leave them unused so that future writers could make use of them without some contrived story convolution. I hope someone will just get rid of the Timewar angle and bring back those lovely arrogant guys.
 
Well I really liked the War Chief in War Games, unlike the Master who's completely evil/mad, he seemed more of a well reasoned bad guy.

It would be nice if they gave us some new reccuring enemies. I have a few ideas but I'm saving them for when Moff comes a calling :lol:
