But in all seriousness...I'm a little creeped-out. People really should take warning from some of the scenarios that sci-fi authors have thought up. Robots should not be given TOO much intelligence, or connectivity amongst themselves, or too few mechanisms by which we can enforce our control over them. THIS model doesn't seem to be an issue, but where it leads could be dangerous.

On the other hand. You know when you try to put a dics in your optical drive and it pulls the tray back? And then you have to physically struggle with your computer in order to get the disc in? Thats when I get a terrible feeling of impending doom. Its like watching the prequels to Terminator.

I had not thought about that one. I understand why they used a beard (less skin and muscle to actually simulate), but most people have a distrust of people with large beards... psychologically it means they have something they are hiding (DUH!).

In that case, I can tell you that I have yet to come across any type of technology that survived the wrath of my .45 Colt.

All of the above could apply equally as well to babies. Once complete, they look just like us, and they have their own agendas.

Very true sir. But at least the original has a certain campy quality thats fun, like the A-Team.

They may be able to make robots look like humans and whatnot, but the software/AI is no where near on the level that we have to worry about anything. We have a ways to go on the software side of things before the AI becomes "self aware"
