Understandable!I remember getting hold of some versions of the original songs recorded in German by the Beatles themselves, including "Sie Liebt Dich" and "Komm Gibt Mir Deine Hand." They sounded a little weird, but nevertheless catchy.![]()
They're on the Past Masters set. I always wondered who did the translation, though. It's sort of weird, but possibly how young people spoke at the time. The Beatles' first album also got a weird German title, basically describing what it was in words long since fallen into disuse.
(It's "Komm, Gib Mir Deine Hand" by the way.)
Steve Hillage did a pretty decent "It's All Too Much", but I generally prefer the originals to the covers when it comes to Beatles songs.
I'm the same way but I always subscribed it to my being such a fangirl and thus biased.
