Last Thing You Think Of Before You Fall Asleep??

I have no idea. Of course, tonight I'll wonder, and be up all night hyperaware of it. :scream:
"Tacos. It's going to be tacos. Nope. Still awake. Captiva. It's goning to be the beach. Nope. Still awake. Gas prices. Nope. Still awake. Do we have orange juice? Nope. Still awake."

If you asked me the question a few years ago, my answer would have been "Mirrors, signal, manoeuvre..."

A year or so after that, my answer might have been "When's this seminar going to end?"

Nowadays, my answer would be something like "This paper aims to address thes--" zzzzzzzzz.... zzzzzzz.....

Nothing. I just lay there until I pass out. Sometimes I have a waking dream in the warm up to sleep. Then I slooooooowly drift awaaaaaay.

Nothing. I fall asleep by releasing all tension from my body and clearing my mind. It really works too.

"Why the :censored: does that :censored: cat have to lie on my legs like that?"

I had to stay in a hotel the last couple nights away from home, and every few seconds I kept expecting the cat to jump on and sleep with me on the bed. I actually had a really hard time getting comfortable without her there.

Füb's¹ been living with me for less than ½ a year now -but that one night I wasn't home I sure had trouble falling asleep :rommie:

¹) Her name is derived from the letters in her ear-tattoo!

Usually I segue from reading into a half-asleep dream about whatever I'm reading, to being out cold.

Too often these days it's some attempted self-hypnosis about making the most out of two to three hours' sleep. Prior to that, it's usually Battlestar Galactica.
