It's my take that every sci-fi show is worth trying out once. Heck, I even tried watching "Lexx" and "Cleopatra 2525".
The epic story is what drives the show, a statement that can be filed under "thanks, Capt Obvious". But I think it's those aforementioned characterizations which keep you coming back. The CGI may be what sold the series in its inception, but it's the characters which stick in your memory. It's eminently rewatchable for those who end up enjoying the show. I'm in the midst of my own umpteenth run through it.
However, given your original parameters, I wonder if Babylon 5 will be your cup of jala. I recommend you try it for the first season to season and a half, then take a pulse.
lexx was a show i really enjoyed. i havent seen the whole show tho
yah, big agreement from me.I think we can all agree, even those who aren't fans of the show, that B5 played an important role in the Golden Age of Science Fiction that was the 1990s along with The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager, The X-Files, Stargate, Buffy, Quantum Leap, The Outer Limits, among others.
the 90's was definitely the prime for sci-fi.
what do we have now? SGU? even that has been canceled. there's no sci-fi out there.
