Anyone have a transcript of Gaddafi's speech?

Gotta love that monument outside the building, with the fighter plane clutched within an iron fist, lol.

"No! That's GOLD! Glorious Libyan gold crushing the US! And Italy! Down with the rats and dogs! Mothers, take your children home, away from the bearded men. I have no beard! Gaddafi forever!"

Once fuller clips go up on youtube, this is so going to become the new Downfall.

While I agree on the comedy (however tragic) of the whole thing, I'm a bit confused as to your use of your language... can a speech be said to be a masterpiece if it's entirely extemporal?

An old question... I forgot who asked it and who answered it though:

-Gaddafi, is he clinically insane or a despotic dictator?
-Both!

I think Holdfast was saying that in humorous terms... like if the snippets we saw were this bad (good) then the whole thing, if there is any more must be a real train wreck (a masterpiece).

The highlight reel on the news is so full of insane awesomeness, I want to read/see the full thing. :D
I haven't seen any more than these short clips, but it's clear even from these that Gaddafi is still nuttier than a fruitcake. The whole thing must be an absolute riot.

I don't think I've seen him before. I had no idea what he looked like. He certainly doesn't look like a world leader.

He was a bit difficult to follow at times, but I enjoyed the spontaneity of his speech.

So many of our world leaders have scripts to read from or use rigid wording when talking, but Gaddafi's speech was all improvised, and he spoke his thoughts as they came to him and stirred his emotions, and I liked that. :)

Yeah, I did understand his post -just had that particular question about that particular use of that particular word :)

What UBB-code needs is the line above the writing (to indicate that you're actually saying the opposite of what the word is).

Of course! It's a (presumably? partially?) ad-libbed masterpiece. Only a true genius could extemporise such brilliance.

True, true.

I read elsewhere that apparently he intends leading Asia and Latin America, as well as Libya. Because he lives in a tent.

And I thought yesterday's appearance under a giant golfing umbrella was eccentric. Nothing compared to today!

Hmm, golfing umbrella yesterday, golf buggy today... I sense a theme. Is he trying to get a sponsorship deal from Nike, now that Tiger's in trouble?

He's just practising for his future lifestyle.... in Florida :p

Hmmm, you may be onto something, there. Perhaps the deal would include a line of matched cap/sunglasses sets upon which the "swoosh" figures conspicuously?

He has a lot of space for rent on the shades, for sure!

I found out that Al-Jazeera has the first 20-ish minutes of the speech on their site. They clearly got bored translating it after that, and cut him off. :D

Allahu Akbar for Al-Jazeera!

Several of his lackeys are apparently now echoing his belief that all the protestors are on hallucinogenic drugs...

He ever refers to himself in the third person!

Yeah, and you noticed it specifically had "USA" and an American flag on it?

Hey, don't get me wrong... I hate what it represents, but c'mon... it's a giant iron fist crunching a fighter plane... you can't really say "Dictator" any clearer than that, lol.

I loved the way the camera kept cutting to it and back to Gadaffi. Like maybe we forgot it was there? :rommie:

Anyone else getting images of Dukat here? "This I vow with my life's blood!"

Dukat was never that insane, not even in his red-eyed phase! We're talking Lord Garth here.

Sorry if that didn't come across right, but I'm definitely agreeing with you. The rolleyes was directed towards the monument.
