I was standing on a "balcony" (for lack of a better word) watching the huge photograph queue that had materialized the moment she walked into the cocktail party at the Cleveland con, about 6 feet from Mulgrew. She didn't want to hold her wine glass in all these photos, so she gave it to the lady standing next to me on the balcony. (It was only about three feet higher than the level she was standing on.)

After coming back to the lady with the wine glass, Kate realized if she didn't get some food into her, she would LOOK like she was drinking, so she sent the lady off to the buffet to get her some food. The lady handed the wine glass off to the harpist who had temporarily stopped playing.

Soon, the harpist realized she needed to take a "short break" and tried to place the wine glass on her stool.

THAT's when I spoke up.

"Hey, you don't really want to do that, it might spill."

(I told you I was sweet and innocent. I didn't mention I was also sneaky. )

So I slid down the balcony to its end, and was just 3 feet away from Mulgrew, and three steps above her, with the wine glass hanging over the rail as "bait".

It worked.

She looked around, saw me and the glass, I nodded and she walked over to the rail to take a drink. A friend saw this happening, and came along to snap a picture. Remember what I said, about Mulgrew NOT wanting her pic with a wine glass in hand?

Well, I just about thought I'd die when she turned and asked me it "that" was a friend of mine.

"Yes ma'am." I said apologetically.

"Oh, I think we can do better than that." she replied and came up 2 of the three steps, leaned against the railing and into said ear, and smiled for my friend. Oh... and we BOTH dropped out wineglasses out of view.

The woman is as tall as me, and wears heels which I do not, but in the "ear photo" I look 3 inches taller. Roxann, on the other hand, looks taller than me in our photo despite her very short heels, and subsequent photos with Mulgrew have definately put me "in my place" height wise.

Yup, I went to Cleveland, sat 20 feet from George Clooney in the hotel bar (That man looks soooo much better in person!) and had Kate Mulgrew lean into my ear.

All in all, a worthwhile trip!

No! Janeway is damn sexy no matter what. In fact, I specifically chose a YoH screen cap for my avatar to prove this point. Even when she is bruised, disheveled, hasn't showered in a month, and wears a sweat stained undershirt, she is still incredibly sexy.

Hell yeah!

Oh, and I agree with froot that sexy is an attitude. Janeway has plenty of attitude.
