collections

Probably about half of the media that I use isn't even physical anymore. I watch about 1/2 of my TV on Hulu and Netflix streaming, 2/3 of my movies on Netflix, I read 1/2 of my books as ebooks on my Nook, and most of my comics on my PSP. I think video games and magazines are the only media I use that are purely physical, but I'm considering trying out of the downloadable games on my PS3.

I have a list at home -- but it is just over 200 in paperback form with another 20 in electronic form.

I also have the entire collections of Star Trek Magazines, both old and new.

Every novel ever printed from both publishers, and several TPB's of the comics. I also have all of DC's first run from 1983-1988 in their original form, but those are wearing out. I hope that IDW reprints them the way they did Marvel's run--although I have yet to get that edition--sometime soon. Also, I hope that they reprint the second run from 1989-?? and the TNG run since both of those is where I stopped reading.

big fan of the magazine . have all of the new series and love trek life.
Now is psn doing star trek ebooks (playstation network) for the psp ?
If so I need ot get a psp asp .

currently reading games of throne and stephen king's dark tower gunslinger .
currently watching supernatural season 4 and smallville season 4 .

all right I just had to ask . what does it do besides television and movies and games?

Music. It's mainly a game system, it just happens to do the other stuff as a plus. It's Sony's Gameboy basically, it just happens to do the extra stuff.

According to my website, there's something like 1300 English language Star Trek books in existence. (That's not counting all those print on demand wikipedia article collections from Alphascript/Betascript/Books LLC/whatever they're calling themselves this week; there's no point thinking about them.)

It's been ages since I've done a shelfcount, but I believe I have at least 90% of the books on my site, including all the Trek novels -- both versions of Della Van Hise's Killing Time represented -- and short story collections. Things I don't have include a few of the fan/semi-pro tech manuals, some POD unauthorized Trek fiction from the likes of Lulu and Createspace (a lot of which isn't listed on the site, because it has a tendency to disappear once someone notices it), some of the unauthorized nonfiction from Hal Schuster's various publishing companies twenty years or so ago, and Pocket and IDW omnibus editions of stuff I already have with no new content added.

I have about 10 shelves-worth of mostly horizontally shelved Trek books, and not nearly as many as I want.

For a long time, I wasn't going to bother with TOS novels. I finally gave in to the inevitability of my OCD tendencies. So now I pick them up when I can find first printings in decent condition.

I have all the TNG numbered novels, though I'd like to replace a few that have broken spines. That's a low priority, though.

Three of my shelves are double-stacked with Trek books in back. I'm really running out of shelves. :(

DS9 and Voyager numbered novels are some of the hardest to find in used bookstores, especially in good condition. What few are out there were apparently read roughly.

I'm constantly trying to decide what order to shelve the books. For the last couple years I had them shelved by print date, but today I went back to series, then print date, and all the non-show series, series crossovers, and just plain oddballs at the end. Don't know how long that system will last.

I can't tell you how much I love that almost all the trade paperbacks are the same size. And I can't tell you how ANNOYING I find it that the hardback sizes vary like crazy. However, the worst is that ONE trade that is taller AND wider than all the rest. WHYYYYY?!?!? Why do you people hate me so hard?!?!? ;)

I know most of this shelf is Star Wars and Earth: Final Conflict, but there are a couple stray Treks mixed in there. ;)

LOL - I know! And Resistance, and more than a few others. I'm picky about getting first printings of MMPBs, so I've got some "treasures" still to hunt for. :)

I have about 430-440 Star Trek novels, in English and in German. Exception is Enterprise, I don´t read that. It´s definitive no German Record.

Wow, this thread is a blast from the past. It's a sad reminder that Steve Roby no longer updates his Star Trek library page.

Here's where I was at from 2011:

I've read all of them except for the following:
- a bunch of the novelizations
- shatnerverse
- snw
- most of the numbered voyagers
- around 2/5ths of the numbered TOS
- almost half of the numbered TNG

What's changed since them?
- Read all the novelizations
- Read the first Shatnerverse trilogy
- Still haven't read any SNW
- I've read all the Voyagers
- I'm at 35 left so not much progress here
- I've got 20 to go so under a third left and plan to finish by end of year.

Several weeks ago the German fans postet their collection on Cross Cults Facebook page. I was impressed. Unfortunately I don´t have my books with me. The "King" is a fan with a goddamn hall, a huge library. He posted his collection on the Cross Cult Forum. You need a f****** palace for that.
