Thanks to Alidar Jarok's recent influence, I am listening to a lot of these guys: [yt]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h8MAHQhKe7Q&feature=channel[/yt]
Good song Actually, once I was driving down the road listening to this song on the radio with the volume at an intentionally loud volume (so everyone else can appreciate good music) and someone actually took out their camera and took a picture of me.
The song from The Strokes - Under Cover of Darkness [yt]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OwxcQvB_vcQ[/yt]
Oh gosh...I can only imagine how I must look sometimes, sitting in traffic. Here I am, now old enough to have teenage children sitting in cars of their own, blasting their music. And instead, I'm still doing it myself! But it's really hard to just sit still and act all 'mature' when something like this comes on (and it comes on fairly regularly in my world, given that I listen to Pearl Jam Radio, which plays actual concert feeds like this track): [yt]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HG7Ho6z-cPk&feature=related[/yt] Now...who can just SIT while they are listening to something like that? Impossible, I say! But you will be pleased to know that I have been listening to a lot of Filter and QOTSA this past week. So all of that silliness we have been up to over in Gen TV & Media netted some good karma for you, kiddo!
Sirius - Liquid Metal introduced me to some new metal the other day. They were running an Egyptian/Tunisian metal thing, though this band is from Morocco. Sawlegen - De Profundis Clamavi musically, old school metal, with death metal grunts.
Watching Aussie music show Rage, tonight hosted by Joan Jett. Right now, Buzzcocks - Ever Fallen In Love. Followed by The Ramones - Sheena Is A Punk Rocker
The version on the live Pulse album is frickin' awesome. That whole album is about the best engineered live recording ever.
