Superbowl: watch it or not?

I've made no secret at boards I post at: I could give a shit less about sports in general, and don't give a rats pooper at the Superbowl or any game (I HATED when hte sports shows would pre-empt new Trek!).

But many folks do watch it (and other sporting stuff), and the ratings, I think I heard a few hours ago, beat the "M*A*S*H" finale.

I know this isn't a great polling group, but I'm only aiming for your tastes. So, do you watch it? Poll included. Split it by sexes, since I think in the last few years I've heard of increases in the female demographic in sports viewing, so curious to see if that's accurate.

I always watch the Super Bowl, though I don't particularly care about sports. That is not to say that I don't enjoy sports; I just don't give a damn who wins.

EDIT: On second thought, fuck the Packers.

I don't watch the game, but I do watch the commercials. Back in the day this meant muting the TV and doing something else while the game was going on and turning the sound back on for the commercials. Since having a DVR it means recording the whole thing, starting it an hour into it and fast fowarding through the game to get to commercial breaks. Works nicely but sadly since having the DVR the commercials haven't even been that great.

I didn't watch the Super Bowl (or the commercials). I'm generally a fan of baseball and no other sport. The only time I ever watch football is when I go to a Husker game.

I'm a guy and generally avoid most American sports broadcasts. They just don't interest me.

I've noticed a lot more women who wear sports jerseys and are interested in sports than when I was younger. Its an odd and welcome phenomenon to me.
