Cool small stuff you saw today

I saw it raining in my bathroom, heavily. I saw my cat resignedly walking knee deep through water to get home. I saw geysers erupting from drains.

^I love the way a tentacle is wrapped around the fence.

You do seem to live in a very artistically gifted neighborhood! I'm thinking of the neighborhood art pix you've posted previously.

Well, my neighborhood can't take credit for that one, I live in Brooklyn, this was in Manhattan.

It's very clever. I wonder if whoever made it planned it out in advance and just waited for a big enough snow-day, or whether it was improvised.
There's no way I could know for sure, but I feel that it was improvised. We've been hit by storm after successive storm, so there've been plenty of opportunities, but the attitude that permeates the city seems to be one much more of frustration than of whimsy. Then, this springs up over night. I'd like to imagine it was a pack of frustrated young adults who spontaneously shrugged off their cynicism and got up in a moment.
