Avengers: EMH 1.1/1.2 "Breakout" pts 1&2

I was a little disappointed with how easy the team's victory was, or rather, how unexplained it was. Tony just showed up and said, "Hey, I'm a fast learner" and suddenly he somehow was able to master and subvert Kang's technology. They didn't do enough to justify Tony's ability to do that -- they just asserted it.

I didn't mind it as Tony didn't do it - Ultron 5 did - and that Ultron WILL become THE Ultron as a result, which is a neat way to reconcile how Ulton came to be. Again, I think they're doing a wonderful job of re-weaving 40 years of marvel Comics continuity into a good overall story that works for the most part.

came across this, episode titles and/or descriptions of the remaining episodes:

20. "Flight of the Falcon"
21. "To Kill a Mockingbird"
22. "Marvelous"

23. ? - Hank becomes Yellowjacket as he along with the Hulk and Thor teams up with Ghost Rider to save Janet from the evil demon renegade Blackheart. Also Hank must learn to realize that words and suggestions are not always the answer to saving the world.

24.- "Obsessions of Doom"- Guest starring the F4 and Doctor Doom.

25.- "War of the Worlds, Part 1"

26.- "War of the Worlds, Part 2"- Kang saves the Avengers from getting killed in the war and reveals the cause of Earth's destruction. Now as Captain Marvel and Wasp take on Yon-Rogg and the Kree, Iron Man and the other Avengers deal with the Skrulls with the help from an old foe, Graviton.

Chris Yost said they're taking a small break after the Kang Trilogy. Probably to recharge their epic-ness.

Avengers: EMH is already available for pre-order on Amazon. Instead of season sets (which I presume will come later), they are releasing a single disk Volume one and Volume two. No word on what or how many eps will be on each disk.

New information from C2E2...

Moving on to a project already on the air, Loeb told the audience that right after the "Thor" feature film opens in theaters, "Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes" will return to television. Additionally, he promised plenty of Avengers between "Thor" and when "Captain America" opens in theaters in July.

*******

The panel's focus then returned to what Marvel currently has in active development, offering an exclusive viewing of an entire new episode of "Avengers" that no one save the network and the production team had seen yet. Loeb wasn't sure if it was the first episode of the restart or from later in the run, but assured us it hasn't been seen. The episode, pitting the Avengers against the Serpent Society and featuring Thor declaring, "Hawkeye possesses the spirit of a true warrior," had a great deal of crowd-pleasing moments resulting in hoots and hollers, rounds of laughter and thunderous applause.

Avengers: EMH, as an animated series has been a great treat for Marvel comic fans, now if they can only figure out a way to bring back Wolverine & The X-Men along side it, I'd be over the moon.

They're supposed to be set in the same universe, according to Chris Yost. That's why Blum is still voicing Wolverine in this show and the art style is the same.

The art style isn't the same at all. Ciro Nieli's character design style for this show is much more cartoony and stylized than the design style for Wolverine and the X-Men, the lines are heavier, and the color palette is brighter. For comparison:

Two totally different Hulk designs. And the women on Avengers: EMH don't have the routinely oversized busts that the women in W&tXM did.

As for Steve Blum, he plays Wolverine in everything Marvel does these days, regardless of continuity. This includes The Super Hero Squad Show and all the Marvel computer games. Apparently the folks in charge of Marvel's multimedia productions have declared him "Wolverine for life," just as Fred Tatasciore has been dubbed "Hulk for life" (in everything except the Planet Hulk DVD movie -- due to its unusual version of the Hulk, they instead went with Rick Wasserman, who I thought made a much better Hulk than Tatasciore does).

Also, for whatever reason the EMH women all mainly have serious junk in the trunk. Or again, it's just Widow.
