TMP Bronze Enterprise Publicity Photo

Does anyone remember the photo of the TMP Enterprise which came out around the release of the movie?

The ship was a dark bronze color, probably due to the lighting of the photo. I haven't seen it in years - anyone have a link to it?

I liked the color so much, I painted my first refit model just like it. Big mistake - it looked better in the photo.

I have the pic somewhere in my files, but who knows where?

Do Google Image search for "TMP Enterprise publicity" and I found it on top of the second page. That should help.

No, that isn't it. It was a dark bronze, and the "E" wasn't in space dock. Still looking.

I had a promo poster with that image on it (as well as pictures of the cast along the bottom), but I'll be damned if I can get any google hits on it.
I'll keep an eye out.

I knew it as soon as I read the description. That poster was included inside the soundtrack LP of ST:TMP, if I recall correctly, and I still have my copy, though it's a little the worse for wear. (I still have the LP too.)

Thanks. I have the impression there were one or two other inserts in there as well (in addition to the blue, photo-illustrated record sleeve), but I can't remember what they were, if anything. Any idea?

My two copies of the LP only came with the photo insert of The Enterprise and the record sleeve, which had photos from the film on one side and photos of many of the alien races on the reverse side.

The first LP was purchased on January 1, 1980 (my dad wrote that on the inside) so that was definitely an original pressing. I bought the second one simply to replace the Enterprise photo insert. I hung up the original and it faded and I wanted to replace it.

I've still got that one rolled up in my closet, along with the cutaway poster of the ship. Used to have both of them up on my wall in the dorm back then.

I miss the days of beautiful works of modeling art like that ship design. Hell, I miss the days of REAL models.

I've seen a lot of good CGI ships, but never one that I loved or impressed me. And those redone CGI renderings for ST:TMP ... hated those.
