I'm not clear as to what the Bears were trying to do out there today....

Anyway, a little more than an hour to kickoff. Time for the drinking to start.

Enjoy the "Big Game"!

:techman:

Just killing time, apparently

Even with the extra week off, not a good way to go into the playoffs. Would be different if they had gone with second or third string guys.

Well, even though it came up a little short, Tebow has been proving to be fairly clutch when the team needs a comeback. I just wouldn't mind it if he spent a little more time this season practicing getting a lead prior to the last couple minutes.

^If I'm NO, I'd be licking my chops today.

Who the hell were some of those guys playing for the Pats yesterday? I don't even remember them from the preseason!

The Broncos can still make the playoffs.

If the Chiefs, Raiders, and Chargers all mysteriously die or get abducted by aliens.

Hell Damn Crap!

:scream:

I'm very disappointed that the Rams finally had a national audience and something to play for, and that's what they came up with.

The defense played fairly well, but the offense was horrible.

Hopefully next year with Avery and Clayton back, they can start to stretch the field a bit. All these 3 yard passes are driving me crazy.

Good luck Seahawks.

Mangini is gone.

I know reports have Sparano staying another year in Miami (which I support as a Dolphins fan)... but I wonder if Ross is now reconsidering after the whuppin' the Patriots gave them yesterday?

I'm curious to see what the final spread will be on the Seattle/New Orleans game. I imagine it'll be one of the highest spreads against a home team ever.

Glad to see the Packers win. They have a tough game against Philly (hope they closely study the film from the Philly/Vikes game), but at least they're in.

Not sure what Lovie Smith was trying to prove by playing his starters the entire game. As if Cutler hadn't been sacked enough this year. Lovie should be very thankful that no one was injured.

but I wonder if Ross is now reconsidering after the whuppin' the Patriots backups and previously inactive rookies gave them yesterday?

Fixed that for you.

As a Pats fan, I was glad to see so many unheralded backups play effectively. They're one injury to a starter away from playing significant playoff minutes, and it was nice to see them play some actualy game snaps.

Also, Julian Edelman - what's with the Brady mullet? My wife said he looks like one of the Beatles. She spent the second half calling him Julian Lennon.

Nice job BenJarvus on the 1,000 yard season. You got the same dreads as Maroney, but I don't dread when you carry the ball like I did with the fumble machine. I went rafting in Tennessee in October and this guy in our raft, a Miss grad, was telling us how awesome it was that his fellow alum was a starter in NE. After the end of the season, I'm starting to believe him.

Shayne Graham worries me going into the playoffs, I wonder if he realizes the requisite for a touchback involves kicking it past the goal, not the 10 yard line. He's been effective at FGs, even in bad weather, but those kickoffs are going to come back to bite him.

Bye bye Eric Mangini. Not sure how you were still in demand as a head coach after the Jets. Not sure why Holmgren gave you another year either.

I read that article. I'm not really seeing evidence of them "hating" each other though, more like speculation that they can't get along. However it's reasonable speculation I suppose. It's certainly believeable given Haley's temperment. If it's true, it will ultimately cost Haley his job.

I saw something in a highlight of the Atlanta game yesterday that I don't think I've ever seen in a NFL game before. The owner of the Falcons was down on the sidelines at the end of the game and he got he Gatorade bucket treatment. I was like "Wow, he must be easy going" for them to pull that on the owner.
