I understand due to licensing that they could only make her character seem coincidentally exactly like Dorothy but ten years later, though everyone knows that you don't stick the barrel in your ear, you rest it on your tongue and tickle your uvula with its muzzle or you just wind up mutilated and gasping.

Poor Ace.

Sarah-Jane mentions half a dozen other companions still knocking about on contemporary Earth, my favourite shout-out was first that Ian and Barbara DID get married and second that they, for some reason, stopped aging in the mid 1960s and nobody is that concerned.

If that isn't a teaser for a set of guest stars next season, I can't boggle what is.

I guess that means that either Rose was shit with a computer or she was using a bollocks search engine to find netevidence of the Doctor and his lifestyle in the 2005 pilot.

...Oh, yes, and Dodo wasn't tortured to death it seems by the Master looking for a little gossip on the Doctor like it was said to have happened in one of "those novels" made last century.

Hells it could all be some swindle manifest she's fronting for 7 to save the world while she still travelling with him, it he didn't set up a dopplegangerlookalike to sub for her putting in the hard yards so that "young ace" can swan in at the last second with an established identity and credentials to save the day some how.

Well, Sarah Jane is a trained investigative journalist with years of experience with the Doctor, and who was keeping her eye out for Companions (not necessarily with any explicit link to the Doctor) for thirty-plus years, not a teenager who'd met him for five minutes googling "doctor blue box."

Plus she at least met Tegan in Five Doctors. (Although her memory might have been erased as she doesn't remember the Fifth Doctor).

Unless (although I doubt it) Sarah Jane wasn't particularly sure if 11 wasn't a much earlier doctor who (RESULT!) shouldn't know too much about his own future.

It was obviously his job to say it was alright to talk about the 5 doctors since it's plain to see that she s not the same young girl from that colossal adventure...

Or was it was a killer fembot substituting for the real thing who never got around to the killing, you know like the first doctor was supposed to be in a previous script?
