Flashlights are rarely referred to as torches outside britain.
OT: Once i was surprised, now i'm more of indifferent. I have long ago given up on understanding why women carry all that crap around (no offence). Also, i've started referring to womens handbags as "black holes". since once you put something in there, you'll most certainly never find it again.
Now i'm a straight forward, no nonsese type of guy so i just carry around the basics.
Wallet, keys, cellphone, swiss pocket knife and on occasion headphones.
While at work, i usually carry a small med kit, a flashlight and gloves as well. although if all goes well, i'll be swapping out that small med kit for a big one.
