I've seen this before where a series has a storyline that takes things to the next level and makes it awkward to go on as before.

Torv's acting is terrific tonight.

This show always manages to top itself in the gore department.

The marionette scene is just creepy.

Interesting.

Was the Observer talking about Peter or Walter? I'm guessing he was referring to Peter.

Well folks, I'm expecting better when the show returns next month. I voted 'Below Average'. This one just didn't work for me and I can't even really say why.

The final scene with the Observer was the best part of the entire ep.

This was another average. It might have done more for me if I actually was invested in Olivia and Olivia/Peter but I'm not so that thread didn't interest me or move me in the slightest. The standalone plot--I figured out 5 minutes into the episode and as a result was a chore to sit through. I'm really tired of the stupid sci fi mumbo jumbo this show employs--at least Trek tried to make their science explanations seem more grounded than off-the-wall. Plus Anna torv's acting has never really been all that great--her final scene with Peter in the garden was cringe-worthy.

And looking back at the 8 episode arc for this 1/3 of the season I'm not sure if it amounted to a whole lot.
