    Wonderful news. :)

I hope it will be also easier on you now that you are under the same roof. No more nights at the hospital!

Yeah. It will take her a week or so to adjust, and then she'll be fine. Her first complaint? "Why's it so cold in here?". I had the thermo on 75. There's no pleasing that woman! ;)

Amen to that! Well, except for the fact that I miss the lobby coffee shop. That was really good coffee.

That's great news! :) Your mom is sure to get better faster at home, and it will save you and your dad so much time and energy and you won't be shuffling back and forth to the hospital. I'll put in a prayer for a quick recovery.

15 miles out of the way. It's in the hospital (they have a coffee shop in the ground floor cafe), near to the interstate, but it's back up away from the main roads, too, so it's unlikely. ;) :D

Ah well, it just means I'll go to the tiny, little coffee shop in our tiny, little town to see how it good it is, now that I like coffee house coffee. :D

Yes, and thank you, the prayers are appreciated! :D
The in home nurse just left, after showing me how to properly give an IV, redress wounds and follow mom's prescription charts (which I had already gone over the night before and got her sorted out). The nurse liked my organization method and told me to stick with it. Really sweet and wonderful person, and I'm glad she's going to be the one to help me bring my mom back up to fighting weight again.

She started crying over Dallie today. She was sitting there, and had just finished her lunch (I fixed her salisbury steak and potatoes), and she was about to give the last bite to Dallie, and remembered, and started crying. I told her that I did the same thing the first week she was gone, and I cried with her. It's going to be tough on her, it's still painful for me, but I just keep remembering all of the positive things, all the fun memories, and they turn into tears of laughter. That little dog was the best part of my world, and now that she's gone she'll always be a part of my heart, and mom will come to terms that way as well. Time does heal all wounds.

Glad to hear she's home. Wish her all our best.
