Funniest Trek Character

Thought this would be interesting to see what everyones thoughts are on who they think are the Funniest Characters in Trek...

For Me.....

Quark: (DS9) Unless you've never seen DS9, then you can pretty much come to your own conclusions, almost every Ferengi episode in the show was full of over the top satire, Quarks schemes, my favourite Quark ep has to be "Little Green Men", classic Quark exploitation at its finest

Lwaxana Troi: (TNG/DS9) Embarassing Mother to the extreme, Majel Barret-Roddenberry had excellent screen chemistry with almost every regular, particulary Patrick Stewart and Rene Auberjonois, Lwaxana's funniest antics, to me is when she serves to infuriate Worf "Mr Woof" (its is "Worf", Madam)

Q: (TNG/DS9/VOY) Need I say anything? John De Lancie's expert portrayal of the Overly Sarcastic, Immature and Unpredictable Omnipotent Q, combined with the superb chemistry him and Patrick Stewart shared, was one of the biggest highlights of TNG for me and many others

Data: (TNG/MOV) Whilst not intentionally funny, almost all Data centric episodes were abundant in humor, particulary in Data's attempts to emulate human behaviour, his imitation of Hutch in "Starship Mine" had me in tears, his attempt at smiling in "Data's Day" was another humorous scene, despite the lame attempts at humor on Data's part in GEN, I still feel Data is the most consistently humorous character featured in TNG and arguably the entirity of Trek

B'Rat UD: (Ent: "Rajiin") Cracks me up watching him inhaling various Earth Spices, followed by him sneezing and laughing manically

Rom is probably the character that has made me laugh the most. Max Grodénchik amuses me even when Rom isn't suppsed to be intentionally funny. He just has a great way about him. :)

I'll say Zek. I just like the way he does these short, high-pitched chuckles and random times, as well as amongst other things.

I agree

Rom's version of "The Lady Is A Tramp" is both painfully awful and hilarious at the same time, the way he announces "A Union!" in "Bar Association" never ceases to make me laugh

The only thing that annoys me about Rom is the whole "Grand Nagus" storyline in the final episodes of DS9, I thought it was a bit obvious where they were going and quite frankly, Rom would be better served as taking O'Brien's place as Chief Engineer aboard the station

Humor is a part of Star Trek and all the characters have their moments, so it is difficult for me to choose only one. So in my opinion, the funniest character from TOS would be Bones, from TNG, Data, from DS9, Quark or Rom or maybe Worf, I guess. Lwaxanna and Q were also brilliant of course. However, choosing the funniest from those is just too much of a chore for me. :)

I also love every minute of Rom in 'Necessary Evil'...from his eagerness to show Quark how good he is at opening locks, to his trying to remember the name for Odo, (and when he goes with Odo and offers to open the door for him "I can do it in ten seconds!") and his screaming when he catches Quark's would-be assassin in the act. And the final moment; his happiness at saving his brother which abruptly gives way to more screaming.

How has Holodoc/EMH not gotten a vote yet? His dry, sarcastic humor with the great one-liners was a highlight of Voyager.

Dr McCoy. I'm not sure if everything I laugh at with him is actually meant to be funny but he makes me laugh anyway. Both DeForest Kelley and Karl Urban make me laugh but I prefer DeForest Kelley.

Lwaxana, easily, Lwaxana. The ultimate mother from hell. Majel must've had a ball playing her.

I wouldn't say she was the mother from hell, she was just very protective of Deanna and wanted the best for her (given that she had lost every other member of her family).

Though I do admit that she was an excellent character, and always stole the show when she was on.

For me, it's Mr. Homn. Even though he (almost) never said a word, his comic timing was well-evident in his reactions to the circumstances around him.
