Good-Bye TNG (for now)

For me, TNG > The rest.

It had a better cast, better characters and the best captain.
Vive la différence! But obviously, TOS comes first on every level. :techman:

Disagree wholeheartedly.

Until the release of Enterprise, TOS was my least favourite.
Cool! Differences are what makes the world interesting. I was only being facetious in my last post. Although TOS is my personal favourite - I love the whole TREKverse.

True dat.

One mans rubbish is another mans treasure after all.

Finished TNG (again). On now to DS9. I loved Pre-emptive Strike with the final sad farewell to Ro Laren and as usual I thoroughly enjoyed All Good Things. It is a strange story but there are so many good bits in it; far too many to remember. I love Data's servant ('E looks like a bloody skunk")

TNG was and is one of the best shows from TREK. When TNG was on the air, it got high ratings and gave STAR TREK a rebirth.:bolian:

A Trek rebirth indeed, although I still feel STAR TREK was, and is, the mother lode. As much as I love TNG (and I really do love the show), it's become horribly dated - far more than any of the other shows. TOS has come full circle - a sort of 60's retro cool - whereas TNG is mired in the late 80's in the worst way. As I say though, a superb show, worthy of it's place in the extended Star Trek pantheon!
