Someone get on the Dungyphone and call Hypno-Tony; Vince Young is in dire need of assistance.

 Sure, why not. Meanwhile, I'm thinking the Titans should be looking to see who the good QBs in the draft are if they decide Rusty Smith can't hack it.

Yeah, you should look forlorn on the sideline, Eli. You cost your team dearly by not sliding, you idiot. :scream: You weren't the only problem, but you sure came up huge with the game on the line. You and your porous defense.

Now I have to root for the Jets to beat them. Someone in the NFC needs to step up. I promise, God, to stop making fun of Tom Brady's ridiculous hair if I can see the Eagles lose. Do they even play the Pats? At least I got to see super man Vick fumble and throw a pick.

He had a fumble, but not a pick. No New England this season, we had the Colts. The toughest game left is the Bears, although divisional games are always a worry.

Anyway, big sigh of relief here. Eagles-Giants always leave for intense games. Big props to LeSean McCoy for coming up big when he needed to. Giants blitz definitely had Vick rattled at points. A lot less composure compared to last week and very few run opportunities. Next time in North Jersey could be scary. Certainly tooth and nail like this one.

Got tickets for the Packers/Vikings game. They're supposed to be good seats, but at the Metrodome, that doesn't mean a whole lot.

I think they ended up being good seats :guffaw:
Yeah, even though we sat 4 rows from the roof (my friend that got the tickets misread them- good thing they were free), watching the Packers kick ass made those tickets seem pretty good. Don't want those seats ever again, though- I could barely hear the "Fire Childress" chants.

Via Betfair, here are the current online betting odds probabilities being offered for the following teams winning the Super Bowl this year (I'm only listing the top eight teams here):

Philadelphia 13%
New England 12%
Green Bay 12%
Baltimore 10%
Atlanta 9%
NY Jets 8%
Pittsburgh 8%
New Orleans 8%

So the oddsmakers currently view a Super Bowl 39 rematch as (barely) the most likely matchup. Of course, the odds are volatile, and change from week to week because of this "parity" filled season.

Would anyone mind (And especially those who are fans of these teams) if the NFL came out tomorrow and said that the NFC West was disqualified from Playoff Contention because they sucked so bad? There is so much parity in Football today, and there are so many teams who are much more deserving than any team in the NFC west to have a chance to make it to the Super Bowl. Granted, I remember when Arizona got hot a few years ago and made it all the way, but at least they got hot to end the regular season and carried it through. I really don't think any team this year in the West is going to "Get Hot."

As for the 49ers, what an uninspired, pathetic team this is. I'm not even going to blame the players because I don't think we still have an idea of the talent these players have. I blame the coaches for refusing to harness that talent and actually Coach. I blame Singletary for being a pathetic excuse for a Coach and an arrogant Jackwagon (Thank you Geico, I have my new favorite word instead of Jackass or Douchebag) that he is. I heard he had to mention "looking at the film" like 17 times in his post game press conference today and I think that's a clear example of how bad a coach he is. He couldn't see what everyone else saw?

So what did I see today that makes me indifferent to the 49ers for the rest of the damn season. Let's see: Uninspired play from all sides of the ball, no game time adjustments, a team that never ever made it to the Redzone let alone endzone, and a team that for the first time since 1977 was shut out at home.

I have the Red Zone channel, and I can see how the various teams play in the league. I've got to say the way the 49ers play shouldn't even be considered true football. It's so uninspired (I'm sorry for using that word so many times but it's pretty much my point), and has a lack of everything. It's boring, crap, pathetic, and quite frankly should never be shown by a team playing in the National Football League. The Buffalo Bills suck, but at least they play hard and with effort. The 49ers have neither and it showed today.

No more talk about the postseason. Hell, I really do hope Gadell proclaims the NFC west ineligible for Postseason play. No team in this division deserves it, and I think it might be doing the NFL as a whole a huge favor.

Not true. They started the season 7-3, then went just 2-4 in the last six games, before turning it on again in the playoffs:

Basically, once it became clear that they were going to win the division, but wouldn't be able to get a bye, they gave up on the regular season, and saved it for the playoffs.

So long as it ends differently.

You never know. I like the situation the way it is myself, and it encourages rivalry. Win your division if you want to be guaranteed a spot. And since the switch to 4-division conferences in the 2002 season, the NFC North is the one with the fewest Superbowl appearances (just the Bears); the West is tied with the East at 2 each, and the South has 3. And in the last 5 Superbowls, two of the NFC contestants were from the West.

I stand corrected. Still, that year they were deserving. This year, no team is deserving from that division.

i dont think even that will help.
:p:lol:
just when it looked like we were over this soap opera here it came again.
at least they didnt need the swat team this time.

and despite vince wanting to play dont see how with a torn thumb tendon.

Here's a fun statistic I just calculated. New England, Minnesota, and Tennessee are collectively 4-6 this season, in games in which they had Moss on the roster (for a 40% winning percentage) and a collective 12-8 in games in which they *didn't* have him on the roster (for a 60% winning percentage).

All three teams have at least a slightly better winning percentage without Moss than with him.
