NFL Talk - 2010-11 Season

Dammit Packers.. you could've won 13-3, and kept Chili in the division possibly through next season... but noooooooooo. Ahh well, still hilarious.

Let's face it: You can't travel down to a player's home to try to convince him to come back, and then pick him up from the airport and drive him to the practice facility, and then turn around and hope to retain any amount of credibility in your locker room. Once you take steps like that, it's very clear who wears the pants.

But if they had won the Super Bowl last year (at which they made a very serious run) he would have been hailed as a hero and a genius for doing whatever it took to win a championship.

Roll the dice.

At the end of the day, his record with Minnesota is one alot of coaches would like to have... 40-37 and two playoff appearances (one with a tandem of Gus Frerotte/Tarvaris Jackson at QB) in four-and-a-half seasons .

That's kinda asking for it....

I think that was the exact reason he released Moss. He was challenging ownership to fire him... he was done dealing with Lord Favre (who has turned the ball over 22 times this season).

If there were questions about his abilities as a coach within the Vikings organization, why sign him to a long-term extension through 2013 during the middle of last season?

So much of what was/is going on in Minnesota makes little sense and I put that right at the feet of ownership.

Favre may have been the issue but his actions (Chilly) does not send a good messege to other teams. Wrong tactic.

Better to go out fighting than to give up.

Tough to fight when ownership tells you the turnover machine is your quarterback whether you like it or not.

Which is the only possible reason Childress hadn't benched him up to this point and why Frazier hasn't benched him.

Well last night the chiefs did it. Perhaps a bit sloppier than should've happened but holding Arizona to no TD's until literally the last seconds of the game was nice.

The Chiefs, still, have a long way to go and while Denver's loss puts us back in first the Chiefs will have a tough time in Seattle this week as Seattle's stadium noise can compete with Arrowhead's. We're also 1-4 on the road.

Impress me Chiefs. You didn't impress me this week. Yeah, you won but it was a game you should've won so you get no brownie points for meeting your expectations of beating a team made of misery and fail.

Win at Seattle we'll see if I start getting excited about you in the Post Season again.

Of course but you still fight...and you should tool that running game as a response.

I hope the real Broncos enjoyed their vacation last weekend. Nice to know they got back safely and picked up right where they left off. This is twice this season where they play the best game of the season, and then follow it with a steaming pile of shit. What is it? Is it the preperation? Is it the coaching? To they just physically and emotionally spend themselves one week and have nothing left the next? Why the fuck can these guys not start something good and build off of it? Hell, I can't even say it's because the Chargers were that much better than us... we were just inept in all phases of the game. Screw this season.

Yep. Zygi Wilf doesn't know squat about football. Never did, or he wouldn't have given Childress a contract extension to start with. He seems to be one of those owners who bought a team just to have the status of owning a team. Bragging rights, if you will.

What the Vikings need is a general manager in the front office who knows what they're doing. And if they're ever going to convince the public to pitch in on a new stadium, they'd best get things straightened out quick. Even when the Vikings were winning, stadium funding was a tough sell. Having some out-of-state owner that's clueless certainly doesn't help.

Anyway, what happened to Denver's offense tonight? I expected their defense to give up a lot of points, but I thought the game would at least be close.

^Your team let me down the other day. They almost be the Jets, thereby allowing the Pats to be in sole possession of first. But no, they pooped their pants in the final minute.

I feel you pain but for a different reason. Despite the standings right now, SD is the team to beat in the AFC West. And another loss by SD would have given the Chiefs a little more room for error. But no, I guess they shot their wad last week against the Chiefs.

well if the titans soap opera couldnt get worse.
it got real cruel today when it was announced our offensive coordinator has cancer.
:(
