SURVIVOR NICARAGUA Running thread, commentary, etc. (Spoilers)

The name for the Immunity Challenge? Extreme Waterboarding.

Yeah that challenge was the stuff that my nightmares are made of. I would have seriously panicked if I had to be on that wheel.

They were silly for getting rid of Tyrone. As for the other tribe, I wonder what Marty's new plan will be. Brenda is really irritating to me, I would like to see her gone soon.

I must admit I was really turned on by Brenda's skills in the extreme waterboarding competition.

Stupid move by the Blue tribe though, they should have voted South Central or the slow useless Italian off.

I think Marty can do it!

Thing is, Tyson wasn't even really bossy. He was just letting the new members of the tribe know how the blue tribe handled things and then disagreed about what to do with the chickens. Voting him off made ZERO sense.
He wasn't really bossy, but he did present himself as the leader and that may have been seen as a threat by some of the tribe. It was a bit odd seeing him in the leader role considering he wasn't really a leader before the shake up.

When the tribes were being shuffled, I'm not sure why the gal from the blue tribe decided to chose the players that she did from the yellow tribe. Maybe she had a strategy, but I can't figure out what it might have been.

I'm also not sure why the blue tribe decided to kill a chicken instead of the rooster.

Finally found this thread about Survivor Nicaragua. I just love Survivor and thinks it is the best reality TV show. My thoughts on Tyrone boot. I wasn't surprised. He was in majority alliance when he was on the old tribe but when the tribe switched and Holly joined forces with the kids. Tyrone, Dan and Ive were in trouble. I didn't believe for 1 second that Naonka was in trouble based on editing. She was allied with Chase and she also had immunity idol. Tyrone should have kept low profile and i guess not eat the chicken:lol: I think Dan is next in line for the boot after Tyrone. It is kind of shame because it is unbelievable Dan is still in the game with a busted knee. Kudos for him staying so long.

Overall i really like Marty from the older tribe. He kind of remind me off Richard Hatch. He is very well spoken and seems to be good player but he need a miracle now because he is in minority after the switch. Only hope for him is that he and Jill can per-swayed Fabio:) and Kelly B to switch side. Perhaps take out Jane first to gain majority. I really hope that he will last a long time.

Also, what's with all the combined reward-immunity challenges? Was their challenge budget cut in half this year? Lame.

Actually i really like this format to start with when there are so many castways to begin with(20) It gives us more time to familiarizes us with the cast members and how they are playing the game. So i like this combined reward-immunity challenges for now.

I think the biggest mistake this season was that "Medallion of Power." It ruined a lot of the show's excitement. I'm glad it's gone now.

South Central steals food, lies to everyone and still doesn't get the boot. What's wrong with these people?

Pretty amazing Marty is still around, not to mention Dan.

How smug are Sash and Brenda?

Fabio continues to be a treat, love that mimbo.

It's all about alliances this time around. As long as you vote with the majority, you can get away with murder.

The only unforgivable sin is not voting right, or so it seems.

That's the same reason Dan is still around. He's a reliable vote.

(FYI: Jeff Probst has a fun blog entry at ew.com today, in which he theorizes that Naonka basically has the emotional maturity of a seven-year-old . . .)

Alina was too smart for this season. Ah well.

Fabio and Jane are really the only likeable people left. I hope at least one of them makes the finals. They're swimming in a sea of undeserving folks though.

I can't stand Jane, she is so self righteous. Marty and Jill never did anything to her...she says they treated her like she was just a pawn and not a real person, but what does she think the young people are doing to her now? They don't actually care about her, they are "using" her more than Marty ever did.

Anyway, I liked Alina and was sad to see her go. It seems like Fabio, for how very ditzy he is, is the only one with a brain out there. He's the only one who even thought of wanting to get Naonka out and for that I like him much more than I did before.

I dislike Brenda and look forward to seeing her go.

I cant stand Jane either. She is not likable at all and she is a pawn for Brenda/Sash alliance. She is so blinded by Marty hatred that it is costing her and Marty the game. Marty finally called her out at the tribal and frankly by saying that he would vote for her if she makes to the final:lol: He would vote for her.
Also Jane is a stupid player. She won women imunity showing her strenth when it was uncalled for. She wasn't in danger and then she tries to beat the men too. Again uncalled for.

I have a mixed feelings towards Alina. I am happy she left rather then Marty:techman: but my issue with her is that she knew she was the next target for elimination before the switch and she still stayed loyal to Chase/Naonka/Benry instead making a power-move by aligning with Holly, Ive and Dan and blindside Naonka. She came across as a shady player that nobody trusted.

Regarding Brenda. She is a godess but i hate she is align with Naonka who is clearly too volatile and unpredictable player. I would be poetic justice if Naonka would cost her the game.

Poor Marty, I was rooting for him. :(

Welp, the first smart choice was made and Brenda got voted out. She had way too much control and power and was a bit cocky about it too, and thus has herself to blame for planting such a large target on her back.

Dunno if anyone saw it, but Sash also voted for Brenda. That guy is really greasy, he should be the next to go. I wonder if Breanda expected him to use the idol?

South Central actually came off looking sane in this episode. Blew my mind.

That Chase guy is playing the game like an idiot.

I'm starting to like the season more and more.

From the look on her face, I think so. She had this sort of smug smile that gradually fell away as she realised he wasn't going to bail her out. I agree it was a smart move to get rid of her - she did have too much power. Kudos to Holly for getting the ball rolling. I'm starting to like her more and more now that she's not a crazy shoe-thief anymore.

I'm still backing Jane and Fabio as my main favourites though. Chase is an idiot and Sash is slimy, I agree. Benry also comes off like a sleazeball.

Probst had some good one-liners last night: "If this were life and death, you'd be dead." "Benry provides the best moment for the yellow team in this challenge with the ceremonial loser dismount." And of course...

JP: "Purple Kelly, weigh in on this. Give me 20 years of wisdom."
PK: "Well, you know, umm.....like umm....I think....yeah OMG you know? Like wow."

Poor poor dumb girl....I understand now why she hasn't gotten more than 10 seconds of air time this season. It was almost as good as her line a couple of weeks ago about the prize for the reward challenge being to "milk your own milk".

I can't stand Jane. She's scary-crazy (always looking to go after EEEEEEEVILLL)... I would avoid her like the plague if I ever met her in real life.

Yeah, she wasn't kidding about being "out of the loop." She was the only one who voted for Benry rather than Brenda.

Yeah, she's proud of the one-legged triathelete who did well in a physical challenge. It's also worthy of note that it looks like Kely's prosthetic is pretty high-end/high performance, the kind people who're very physically active use, and not the "off-the-shelf" peg-leg most amputees likely use. Oh, and the woman has used a prosthetic leg for her entire life considering her missing leg is the result of a birth defect and not of an amputation she needed later in life requiring years of rehabilitation to get back to 100% mobility.

So SHUT UP! Token Sassy Black Chick!

I really think they did her ugly. They only voted her off because of her leg.I think she could have went futher in the game.:)

I was puzzled that more wasn't made of the fire. We got one scene of people reacting like it was The Worst Thing Ever, then everybody went back to scheming and plotting like nothing had happened.

We didn't even get to see how the other half of the tribe reacted when they got back from the volcano picnic . . . ..
