While I generally liked the first season, it had some ups and downs (the ups being anything related to Chance's backstory and Baptiste, the downs being some very inconsistent quality standalone stories).
This episode was about as decent as a reboot of the show could be. Not great, but it did its job to introduce the new characters and the new status quo. New characters aside, the writers seem to have figuratively turned up the volume on Guerrero which was a plus in my book. And of course, Vancouver got to stand in not only for San Francisco but also Geneva...and fail miserably in doing so, just like in the first season.![]()
Finally, the new theme SUCKED. What happened to Bear McCreary's fantastic theme from the first season? The rest of the show suffered without his music too.![]()
from http://www.tvovermind.com/fox/human-target/exclusive-interview-bear-mccreary-human-target/31705I've seen the first episode of the second season of Human Target, and your score is sorely missed. Can you shed some light on your departure from the show?
Honestly, I have no idea. I just know that I wasn't invited back. I could only speculate, but I wouldn't be any more informed than you. The reality is that songs are very expensive, and orchestral score is not. I would be very, very surprised if it was a purely budgetary reason. But I'm very happy with the work that Steinberg and I did over the course of the first season.

it's unwatchable without it

Seriously? You do or don't watch a TV show based on a 30 second opening theme?![]()
No, I'm a huge fan!Well . . . ok.![]()
I'm guessing you must have been kind of "meh" about the show in the first place.
