I'm not talking about whether it's credible, I'm talking about whether it would be as enjoyable to listen to Martin Freeman's vocal performance as to Ian Holm's.
Although I've realized that it's a moot point -- I was confusing Sir Ian Holm with Sir Derek Jacobi. Holm's voice is nowhere near as marvelous to listen to. So it doesn't really matter that much to me.

With Hitchhiker's, Sherlock, The Hobbit (not to mention his cameos in Shaun of the Dead & Hot Fuzz), Martin Freeman sure has snapped up a lot of cool geek roles. I've been a fan of his since The Office, so I'm really happy.

I do know that someone already posted about this, but it didnt seem to have all the cast list so far. In regards to the poster whom is just putting dribble that has nothing to do with the topic; your kind spoils this site. If you cant say something constructive then dont say anything at all. You ruin it for everybody else.

Excellent news. Freeman is great in Sherlock.
I can only hope that they'll use Del Toro's idea to have Ian Holm narrate the film.
I'm also hoping the rumors about Sylveter McCoy are true.
