Help needed identifying an episode!

Hi Trekkies

I was hoping you could help me with identifying my favorite episode. The bald doctor Picardo is having problems with his memory getting fragmented. As a result he have strange visions through out the episode, and he starts do doubt everything he sees, not sure whether it's real or not..

Been trying to find it on and of for years!

It could also be season two's projections where he goes mental and tries to convince himself that he's human and the crew are holograms and it all gets really really trippy as his programs degradation approaches the point of no return in the 5th act.

But tinker tailor spy is the safe bet.

"Latent Image" and "The Swarm" also have similar themes.

Out of the ones mentioned it sounds to me like he's talking about "Projections". "Tinkor, Tenor..." he's daydreaming when he doesn't want to, "Latent Image" his memory was wiped after he couldn't live with a triage decision and "The Swarm" he had overloaded his memory with leisure routines.

Never realized the Doc went nuts so often...

Dude is out of his gourd, no wonder the entire line was decommissioned after barely half a decade of service.

When Voyager returned home, did they try to put him on a garbge scowl, or did Starfleet upgrade all the EHM1's with "The doctor" which would have forced a labour trade, in so that the EMH2's would have been repositioned into sanatorial duty.. Unless Starfleet thought it was better to feed "The Doctor" expansion into the EMH II's and leave the mark Ones exactly where they were...

Would he have freed his enslaved brothers himself or left them to rot because they were so much less "real" than he was?

Glad you found it. You should definitely check out the other ones mentioned, if you haven't seen them already. When the doctor goes nuts, the episode is usually worth watching.

Actually, I just watched The Swarm on youtube and it was the episode I was looking for, but I think I may have mixed it with some of the other ones, because there are a "missing" scene or two, but thanks everyone for thinking loud with me!
