Nice shirt, Shat.

Funnily enough, I caught an old episode of Ironside only this morning starring William Shatner and Roger C. (Harry Mudd) Carmel.

Good catch! I really enjoy seeing these off-Trek appearances. :) It's amazing how much of the period is reflected in the clothing style, too.

My favorite will always be the Kung Fu episode that showed us what life would have been like for Kirk if he'd run away with Elaan of Troyus:

Madlyn Rhue (Marla McGivers) apparently appeared on FANTASY ISLAND with Ricardo Montalban (Khan).

Well, heck, "Elaan of Troyius" was already a reunion episode, since Shatner and France Nuyen co-starred in The World of Suzie Wong on Broadway in 1958-9.

I just saw Deathwatch (1966) last night, which stars both Leonard Nimoy and Michael Forest (Apollo in "Who Mourns for Adonais?"). A pre-Trek pairing, I suppose, but still of interest.

I did not know that!

Nice shirt, Shat.

Was this during the Nimoy years?

No, Nimoy was in seasons 4-5. Shatner's two M:I appearances were in seasons 6 and 7. (In fact, his first was the second episode of season 6, so he just barely missed co-starring with Nimoy.)

Malachi Throne and Paul Carr appeared together in the opening of the original pilot for "The Bionic Woman"

I watched a first season Mannix today (2nd to the last ep) that guest starred both Michale Strong and Ted Cassidy. They never shared a scene, though, so I couldn't get a Ruk/Korby reuinion screen grab.

The last ep of the season featured Leslie Parish as an artist's model, who poses wearing the same gown she wore in Who Mourns for Adonais.

I believe Shatner has worn a partial toupee, mostly on the top of his head, but his hair length on the sides and back in those M:I photos is consistent with the way he wore it in the early '70s.

^That looks like the set of Magnum P.I.

It may well have been. Magnum, P.I. was created in order to make use of the Hawaii-based production facilities left over when Hawaii Five-O went off the air, rather than letting them go to waste.

OK, this is pre-TOS, but I thought I'd mention it. DeForest Kelley appeared in 1962 in the Bonanza episode, "The Decision," as a doctor sentenced to hang for the murder of a journalist. The judge in this episode was portrayed by John Hoyt, aka, Dr. Boyce in The Menagerie and The Cage. It also happened that the judge blamed Kelley's character for the death of his wife. I saw the episode on TVLand recently, and at one point the judge says about Kelley's character, "He's not a doctor, he's a butcher." Other than coincidental, I wonder whether there's any connection between this line and "I'm a doctor, not a _________." I wonder whether there's even a way to find out.
