Weird Canadian Military commander pleads guilty to murder, etc.

It's been one of the top stories here for months now. It's pretty bizarre\disturbing, but to be honest I'm getting pretty sick of hearing about it by now.

The guy is a sick Fuck, but what really pisses off a lot of fellow Canadians is he'll still gets his pension according to some stories.
Thats just fucking wrong! :scream:

Yeah, I've honestly stopped following it as thoroughly as I was. Mind you, i've slowed down on a lot of stories.

I had to stop following someone on Twitter today because the details of the trial were just too much for me.

The expression "sick fuck" gets thrown around far too often.

But this guy is truly a sick fuck. Good thing they caught him.

And yes, it's front-page news up here.

They may find a way to cut him off. Otherwise, if he's in jail forever, he won't have any of it, but maybe his family will, and they can use it to pick up the pieces and start a new life? But probably not.

Yeah, I like to hear the full story when there are facts, not speculation or bits and pieces... but that's the media for you.

It was pretty horrible, especially when he escalated to torture and rape etc., and how he documented it all! :cardie:

Yeah, if his wife gets it, that would be fine with me. It seems as though she was completely in the dark and as shocked as anyone...

Very big story up here--he did command the country's largest air base after all, and the fetishistic nature of his crimes make the story a journalists wet dream.

Anyone see the front page of the Toronto Star yesterday? It was a little disturbing--side by side shots of him in his military uniform and one of him wearing women's underwear (taken by the Colonel himself). The military is moving pretty fast to strip him of his rank (and hopefully his pension).

Yeah, we had that on the front page of the Winnipeg Free Press too. Could have done without that particular image, thanks.

Honestly, after reading what this degenerate did; I still have to wonder why some people are against the death penalty; as in his case, I think a little cleaning of the gene pool is in order. Seriously this guys just needs to be put down and buried in a cess pool.

He's been stripped of his commission, stripped of his medals and will have to repay his wages that were paid since his arrest and won't get severance pay - but what about his millitary pension?

This guy is a sick bastard and it turns my stomach to think of the fact that he hasn't been shot or beaten to death by the soldiers under him. Personally, it does not make my conscience squirm when I imagine people like that burning for eternity.

If he does get his military pension couldn't his victims (or their families) sue him and take all his pension from him?

Here's one reason I'm against the death penalty:

http://www.thestar.com/news/ontario...lly-convicted-in-smith-case-gets-4-25-million

This pathologist's testimony convicted a whole bunch of people who turned out to be innocent. Russell Williams probably should get the death penalty, but then cases such as William Mullins-Johnson come up--if we had the death penalty, most likely this innocent man would have received such a sentence.

if the courts awarded damages to the families then he would have to use his pension money to pay but I doubt the courts could rule that his military pension should be directed to them. A military pension is usaully only paid out only to those who've earned it or their widows (which is I gather is pretty much the case with any pension).
