Potentially the best game that Denver's played all season, and we end up losing because one jackass couldn't keep his hands to himself and another jackass snapped the ball to Timbuktu. It wouldn't hurt as much if the Jets managed to drive down for the touchdown or if Denver ran out of time/ shots at converting the final TD. But instead we lost on two stupid screw-ups.
We caught so many breaks that we never managed to convert on. The short fields, the turnovers, everything would work in our favor, except there was always one thing or another. The fumble (which was actually a great defensive play. I really can't blame Moreno for that one), the botched field goal, the shanked FG, the inability to drive, the penalties. This may be a result of going against a really good defense, but it seemed like our new-founsd running game hurt our passing game. When the running didn't turn up first downs, Orton was usually left with one shot to get it himself, and it just wasn't happening today. I'm not saying that Orton shouldn't be expected to come out after 2 or 3 runs and get the first down with his arm, but it seemed like we were more efficient when Orton was getting as many as 3 or 4 shots at a first down.
Nice win by the Patriots, and it's good to have Deion Branch back. He never should have left.
Also, I HATE YOU, JETS. Just frakking lose!![]()
How do the Bears continue to win with an offensive line like that?
We've already seen that happen, when the line got Cutler knocked into oblivion against New York (the "nine sacks in the first half, Cutler gets a concussion" game). What happens is Todd Collins comes in and goes 6 - 16 for 32 yards, four interceptions and a passer rating of 6.2. It's not pretty. There's going to be one of these times that Cutler doesn't get back up and then what's going to happen? Todd Collins? Jeff Garcia? Matt Leinart?
Is this Cutler's new helmet?

Any truth to the rumor that the NFL is going to rename the sack a Cutler?
The former NFL star had left the house before police arrived but was arrested immediately upon his return. Seau was briefly booked in a detention center on charges of felony spousal assault and was released at 3:20 a.m. PT after posting bail.
Six hours later, his car drove off a road near Carlsbad, Calif., and landed at the bottom of a hill a few feet from the Pacific Ocean. Persons familiar with the road say the section Seau drove off was not curved.
They can't do that.... it's going to cause way too much confusion since interceptions were renamed Cutlers last season.Any truth to the rumor that the NFL is going to rename the sack a Cutler?
So you're saying it's not his fault?I'm going to punch the next person who says, "Oh, it's not the line's fault, Cutler just holds onto the ball too long."
Junior Seau was involved in a single car accident early this morning after being arrested on domestic violence charges.

Too bad the Ravens and Skins couldn't pull it off, but you can't ask for perfection.
