Antony & Cleopatra

EXCELLENT!

(The Admiral  will be quite disappointed that no photos of the "exposed soft milky white thigh " accompanied the report, but its understandable that you didn't want to be bounced from such wonderful seats on your first night." )

I did try. The pics I got aren't worth sharing. The place was too small. Where the hell is the Admiral anyway?

Hey I stood up at the end and almost fell over and Kate smiled at me *sigh

Now, are you counting down the hours till the "meet and greet"?

How long will you be in Hartford that weekend. We will be arriving Friday night.

The thigh shot picture is currently my wall paper on my computer, iPod, and cell phone. :) My husband is getting jealous. Oh well, Kate's been my girl crush since I was like 9. Even a little before that *cough*Throw Momma from the Train*cough*

But I love his logic: he knows she and Voyager is my favorite so he buys me the boxed set of the series.

I tell him I want to go to Conneticut to go and see it and he says "NO"

But at least you had fun AND Kate smiled at you :)

Believe it or not, I'm just looking forward to a "girl's weekend away".

This will be the fourth time I've seen Kate in the theater, (3rd time in Hartford) and 6th over all and I'm much calmer now than I was in 2001 at the Women of Star Trek Voyager convention. I remember standing up to ask her a question. She looked at me and I felt like I was turning into a bucket of goo. :guffaw: As part of the question, my friends and I gave her a "T shirt" emblazoned with our "Logo"/motto. After I sat down I realized I was "this" close to Mulgrew when I handed her the shirt and I never "touched" her :scream: (unlike many of the other questioners who approached her that day) and my friends commiserated. :(

That mistake was corrected later that night when she put her arm over my shoulder for a photo.

Lets see... 8 x 24 + 6 =? ;)

ETA: Love this paragraph from the blog posted by kimc

Thoughts on leaving the parking lot?: This production made me think about the pull of "the other" in life, especially one that is so sensual, exotic and soulfully satisfying. Here Antony is a noble hero who has spent his life soldiering for his empire, yet who finds himself in later life only fulfilled with more earthly -- however, still royal -- delights. Here's to wine, song and a little wickedness.

OMG I am envious!!! Not only about your Mulgrew status but you have friends to share it with. I have only have you guys my online buddies! What was your T-shirt LOGO/ MOTTO??

How are you getting any work done?!?!?!

The real question is: How am I taking care of my child? :)

Lol. I'm unemployed. Recession, that and I only graduated a few months ago. Good thing my husband is an Neurologist. And oops, I said EMT, meant neurologist. Don't know why I said EMT. Kate's thigh distracted me.

Plus according to my doctor, she doesn't want me to start looking for a job or anything for another three months.

Hard pregnancy and labor will do that to you.

But I have found myself drooling over it from time to time. She still has it. A lot.

You probably would be surprised about who in your circle of friends are closet Trekkies. Of the women going with me next week, 3 are trekkies and 1 is totally anti scifi... but she's up for anything theater related.

Our Tshirts?

The front said, in large letters

"HOUSE OF JANEWAY"

and on the back was our motto,

"Its not a club, its an ATTITUDE".

We gave her a red T shirt, (A photo in the above con report shows her holding it. Not sure if it made it home, or not.) and later in the autograph line her husband wondered where the "House of Hagan" shirts were. Later, my friend got in "good" with him when she asked for a pic with him alone. She was originally from Cleveland and considered him a hometown hero. The great thing about the pic, is you can see Mulgrew in the background turning around as if to say, "Who's that with my husband????" :guffaw:

^^^ :guffaw: Nice!

I luv to hear stories like that, it cracks me up.

I wonder what the meet and great will be like? Any ideas? My husband wants to bring a Janeway pic... I told him it would be tacky we keep arguing about it. What do you think?

Tacky?

Of course not, but I would inquire if you are "allowed" to have her sign things at the meet & greet first. (For the money its costing, I hope so.)

If he won't let you bring Janeway, you could always theaten to get an 8 x 10 of the A&C photo of her on her back, thigh exposed and getting kissed by JDT.

What I definately would do is bring a "real" camera and get a shot with her. As I speak, I'm looking up on the wall at the 2 pics I have with her and 1 with Roxanne in Cleveland... sigh.

Good times.

My husband loves Roxanne he would die! Lol ! I would love to get a 8 x 10 of that pic it happens to be my fav... I know u don't believe it.... They are suppose to give you a photo to get signed I bet that it is the publicity one with the black background .

I have been wondering if there was a story behind H of J. That's AWESOME.

You have to realize that I was a big TNG fan, and loved the stuff between Picard and Worf. I became (through Voyager, no less) a DS9 fan, and loved the Worf/Martok/Jadzia stuff.

Janeway's crew always seemed a "family" to me... and who better to head a House than Janeway? Color me ecstatic in season 3, when they gave her one of my fav hairdo's... "The Klingon Power Pony tail"!

I coined HoJ on another board, (pre J Team, by the way) and laughed when people asked "to join". That's where the motto came from.

There is no joining. You ARE or you are NOT.

Its as simple as that. :)

There is a large printed copy of that pic on display in the upper lobby at Hartford Stage. It causes terrible bottlenecking of everyone trying to get to the stairs. ;)

I have the meet and greet thing tonight too! Looking forward to it a lot. :D The opening night yesterday went really well (as did the after party, lol).
