Smallville has never missed an opportunity to reuse a set. The worst had to be the Future Zod world where the Kent farm was used as a prison camp.

 

Clark said the bullet was found in the combustion chamber, no way for the bullet to get there though the tailpipe without making some serious hard turns. Hell, it probably wouldn't even make it through the sound dampening and other bullshit that's in the muffler.
