Ah yes, return on the annoying pop song... Just like last year nobody is beyond a couple of us are commenting here during the show.

I was watching, but my TV is downstairs and my computer is upstairs, but I did read the thread from my cell phone on the couch. You are right though, I remember the good ole days when running commentary for Stargate was a happenin thing, lots of people followed the episode as it aired. It has gone to nothing now No more "SCIFI Friday Nights"

I was underwhelmed. Seemed like the writers were calling the shots (literally) rather than realistic character motivations.

This show just doesn't seem like it can get (and keep) any real momentum. The pacing is painful at times.

I'll continue to watch and hope it improves. I'm relatively new to the SG scene, but I've watched SG-1 and SG-A in their entirety, seen the movies, and watched SG-U S1 twice, once on first run and on hulu over the last week. Can't say I'm not a SG fan.

I'm somewhere between 6 and 7 on this one, but I gave it an Average. I really didn't like the pop song at the end; enough with the montage endings already. It's just too cheesy. Not entirely happy with the way they dealt with TJ and the baby. Seemed too easy and far too reminiscent of the Ascended Beings from SG1. It would've had more impact to really have her grieve instead of taking the easy way out. And, while we're at it, why not actually let the baby live? That might have made for more interesting subplots, instead of simply writing an easy out so the writers don't have to deal with the issue of a child living in that environment.

I don't know. I'm just feeling a little disgruntled about this episode.

The way they got rid of the baby was just hilarious... it almost would have been better if it actually died. I guess I'm glad that they went back to that planet, but I don't think anything is really gained by introducing yet another vague alien species. Unless they're the Furlings or whatever those things were called.

^ It has always been my theory since we first saw that planet, and learned that the planet, and solar system were "created" or manufactured, that it was the Furlings that were behind it.

And it is also my theory that the mission of the Destiny was to seek out the Furlings after they left the known universe, or at least follow the path that they Furlings took when they left.

My theory anyway.

Liked it. Thank God they got rid of the baby. Hopefully we will never see it again but I feel we will because of the "aliens" who took care of the people left on that planet and took Johansen there so they could save her baby. The ending scene was to let us know she didn't dream this but it was real.

Surprised they killed off the leader of the Lucians. I'd have thought they'd let her live but it was a good call. And what's with the Lucians penchant for killing their own people? That poor girl who was getting choked wasn't at fault for what was happening.

And they didn't leave the Lucians behind? Dear God please not let this turn into Stargate: Voyager.

And I really hate the songs at the end..... Just annoying.....

this episode kinda reminded me of the Voyager episode where the Kazon take over the ship and put almost everyone off on some random planet. i think it was a season premier too.

i expect the LA will at least attempt to take over the ship. at the very least they will cause some problem and i expect Young and Telford to have it out over who should be in command of Destiny. the baby thing was...odd. i guess they just didn't have it in them to out right kill it.

I won't see this episode until it's on Hulu or SyFy Rewind, but until then, is Lou Diamond Phillips part of the regular cast now, or is he still a recurring cast member? I figure if he's been bumped up to regular he's here to stay, but if not, how many episodes he'll last is anyone's guess.

It would have been better without the stupid TJ sub-plot, if they want to be a serious show then don't come up with a way to not really kill her baby.

I'm just not feeling it. This hurts, because I've been a fan of the franchise since around 2002. Eight years, but this new show is trying for all the things I love and falling short everywhere.

Well it was a decent start to the season I guess, I did like how Rush got the ship back and stuck to his demands when it meant losing several of the crew instead of caving in like a wimp. The new mix of crews should provide some interesting stories but there were a few issues that bugged the hell out of me...

The bleeding stopped all of a sudden SERIOUSLY, that was awful writing to get yourself out of a corner. The cliffhanger use in shows these days is fast becoming tiresome if their are no real consequences. I would rather season 2 to end on a non cliffhanger story if this is what we are going to get. The biggest issue was the baby, am sorry just grow a pair and kill it.

The crew member who got the database loaded into his head and then disappeared + This whole baby thing makes me think they are some kind of Ascended beings in the new galaxy they are in. Who else can possess that sort of ability...Furlings at last maybe ?

Isn't the baby's dead body still on Destiny? The baby was not physical moved, other wise Wray and the others would notice. So the baby in assended perhaps? Maybe the others on that planet are asended also and don't know it.

The thing is that Ascension kind of involves the body turning into an energy squid-like thing. That didn't happen so the baby isn't Ascended.

8. This was actually pretty darn good and exceeded my expectations. From the series finale, I found myself not caring much. But, I liked this resolution and the few mysteries they started.

I'm guessing that Chloe is dead, just as the baby died. Also guessing that we'll see her body where Eli left it. Very BSG. But, we'll see.

Looking forward to this season more than I though!

The point of the baby is to give us another tie-in to what's going on with Chloe! The aliens are behind this.

Well, I really liked this ep. Scott's solution to the radiation flare was awesome, and the Lucian Alliance actually kept my interest more so than ever before. For the moment, im happy
