Doctor Who crew spotted in Bristols

I think he does look altogeather too clean cut now, although that may be a result of him feeling more comfortable in his new incarnation. I miss the elbow patches though.

The elbow patches are still there

[Kenneth Williams] Ooh, Matron [/Kenneth Williams]

I practically live in Bristol! Why I have I not seen them???

This thread, by the way, has all the ingredients of my favourite types of thread. Well done, folks!

I do live in Bristol. No Timelord in this bit of it though. I know where those pictures were taken though, I was working pretty close to there all day. Bugger.

I DO live in Bristol too! Dammit, the closest I came in the past was eating a cheese toastie as John Barrowman walked past me in Cardiff. I hope they don't leave a time rift behind - we have enough trouble with urban foxes.

This may then call for a TrekBBS meetup then. Depends how many people who use this site are within a reasonable distance from the city - and by reasonable, I'm the other side of Bath and even though I don't have a car, I can still and happily go into Bristol regularly!

Lol - so we can arm-wrestle to see if NuTrek is better than TOS instead of moaning on the boards? I'm only on here because I'm too skint to leave the house and I don't have a car either!

As soon as I've completed my collection of Citadel TMP figurines and my Polar Lights 1:350 TMP Enterprise I'll surely invite you round so I can gloat. Nobody else seems able to appreciate my hobby...

Or maybe we should get T-shirts made up so we can spot each other in the comic shop?

lol at galifrey base a bunch of members that live near each other have banded together to form "The Silver Cloak"

They're basically a real life group based on "The End of Time" group of old people that track the doctor

The Silver Cloak was a group of old pensioners that was set up for the purpose of finding the Doctor.

So I guess this is the trekbbs Silver Cloak division

i live in Gloucestershire and have no way to get to Bristol. :(

I call bullshit on that. Gloucestershire is a lot more urbanised than Wiltshire but I can to Bristol fine and Bristol which is in South Gloucestershire and Gloucestershire are both smack next to each other

i don't drive and i can't afford a train ticket. how's that bullshit?

i didn't say it was impossible.

Nor do I drive, I get buses and as backward as Gloucestershire sounds, I'm sure they have buses there. So yes, saying you have no way of getting somewhere with in 30/40 miles is utter bullshit.

buses are fucking useless. you'd need a bus from here to stroud. one from stroud to gloucester and one from gloucester to bristol, which is about £8 and takes two and a half to three hours to get there.

it's not practical or cheap.

Bummer. Stroud is a bit of a dog-end like Yeovil then? I live in the city centre 10 -15 minutes from Broadmead, Whiteladies Road, Gloucester Road, and Clifton Triangle. I have three comic shops within walking distance, a bus station 10 mins walk away, and a train station 30 mins walk away. I'm living the dream! I can't afford train tickets either but luckily I get a bus pass as part of my work. They cost £143.00 a month normally - it's pretty terrible but I suppose it's still much cheaper than a car.

Why are Who fans so environmentally friendly? We don't drive and since nobody will breed with us we don't contribute to the overpopulation of the planet! The Con-Dems need to start subsidising our lifestyles pronto.

Yeovil's got three comic shops?!?! you're lucky! we've got none! we had 2 in the 90s and both went out of business.

Stroud's mostly charity shops, cafes and other eateries and estate agents. the only decent things in Stroud are the cinema and the bowling alley (if that's your bag).

i pay £42 a month for a 28 day bus pass, which is only really any good for 24 days because we've got no Sunday service...

Gaiman's filming his right now. Episode four I think is done

Gaiman and the TARDIS set. Notice a bit of the Torchwood hub showing through one of the walls
