This is me!! This was taken at the Bristol filming on Monday night. AFAIK, I was the only one to get a photo with him that night. They were quite stressed, I believe, as we were told the director was very precise which meant the cast had a lot to do & were due a late night (which they got, finishing at 3am).

But I had a special reason to want to meet Arthur (besides being in love with him! ;)) as I have recently published my book (Un-Conventional : 13 Years of Meeting the Stars of Doctor Who by Karen Louise Hayward - 100 Publishing :D) & have quite a few bits in the latter chapters about the new series, specifically Arthur & Rory. (Having met him - albeit briefly - there is a lot of Rory-ness about Arthur!) So I wanted to give him a copy - which is why the security let me meet him.

I told Arthur about the book & he seemed pleased & interested. He said I could have a pic taken with him, but would have to be quick.

It was my first time watching DW filming & it was great - met Arthur, Matt spoke to us, the crew got us signed promo cards of Matt & Karen (Arthur doesn't have any apparently!), watched a TARDIS scene close up (though behind bushes, near some wild rats!) - ooh, it was fab!!! :)

The Doctor- Who did you say was going to save us?

I like this picture because it emphasis's the doctor obliviousness if this is an actual take and not Smith talking

that shirt's not white. it's a light blue check.
It almost looks like texture more than color, but there is at least a pinstripe if not a check pattern in there. So faint we're unlikely to see it except in closeups though. The old shirts were far superior. This new one just looks boring.

The white shirt is growing on me. It looks really sharp on him, and makes the costume "pop" off the screen a little more.

And it looks like his hair is going to be a lot less wild and crazy next year too. lol

I think they've made him too clean cut. Perhaps in a few years time his white shirt will be all bloody and dirty like the fifth doctor when he regenerated.

[Kenneth Williams] Ooh, Matron [/Kenneth Williams]

I practically live in Bristol! Why I have I not seen them???

This thread, by the way, has all the ingredients of my favourite types of thread. Well done, folks!

Frakes was in Bristol as well? ;)

I think he does look altogeather too clean cut now, although that may be a result of him feeling more comfortable in his new incarnation. I miss the elbow patches though.

Be interesting to see how it looks on screen, I wonder if its one of those situations where it will look a lot more subdued on camera?

Same here and I'm going there tomorrow!

I do live in Bristol. No Timelord in this bit of it though. I know where those pictures were taken though, I was working pretty close to there all day. Bugger.

I DO live in Bristol too! Dammit, the closest I came in the past was eating a cheese toastie as John Barrowman walked past me in Cardiff. I hope they don't leave a time rift behind - we have enough trouble with urban foxes.

I miss the wild hair too, it was very cute. Although I remember reading somewhere that he got it cut for a role he did before Doctor Who started filming again. Hopefully it will grow back quickly!

That jacket does have elbow patches - you can see them if you click on the 3rd thumbnail picture above, the one where he's coming out of the TARDIS.

When it comes to the 11th Doc, I tend to stare waaaaay too long. I notice everything!
