Star Trek : Rebuild

Well, I'm bored, and because my Star Trek : Survival is rejected by the community, then I'll just write another idea, fresh from my nerd brain (LOL)

Star Trek : Rebuild
Just after the end of Dominion War, the economy of Federation is collapsed. The war has drain the Economy to and extent that a lot of multi planetary companies and industries are closed. this problem lead into a mega social unrest to the whole Federation Territory, cause racism / species-ism that breaking apart the whole united concept.

After that, a great civil war follow, destroy Vulcan and other Federation great powers. The Earth, as the Federation Capital has been bombarded by the rebels, making the planet inhabitable anymore.

The story is start years after that tragedy. From a planet called the great junkyard. The protagonist is someone who has vision to restore the Federation. So, with the help of people from the planet, he established the new Star fleet.

the story is a year after the new Star Fleet established. With the collection of broken Star Ship parts from Junk Yard, the people able to repair old starships. One of them, the USS Enterprise D become the protagonist Flag Ship.

So, it is a journey restarted. To re-explore Strange new world, to seek out other Federation's Members, and to re-established the old Federation.

Of Course, they are not the only Human Colony out there who want to re-established Federation. The problem is that not everyone of them want to join force again like old days. So, the war for Federation Supremacy is begin, and it is the job of the protagonist to defend his believe until the end.

So this is kind of like "Andromeda"? A quest to rebuild the Federation from the ashes of a period of great civil unrest and war?

The real question here is, do you plan on doing anything more with this idea other than the two minutes of time you came up with writing it, while being bored to boot? If not, why should anybody else care about it?

We keep getting the same pitches for a new Trek show. But none of them are going to interest people other than Trekkies. I'd love to see this idea or something similar but it would fail hugely. A new show needs to follow the pattern set by Star Trek 2009.

The Federation wasn't hurt enough by the Dominion War for that scenario to be believable. How about focusing on Cardassia and Fed attempts to rebuild that world? And keep Cardies from going after the Doms for revenge, which would upset some very large apple carts. Lots of interesting potential there, starring Garak. :D

Other possible repercussions from the war: the Klingons are down for the count but Romulans emerge even stronger.

What do you think who I am. A screen writer? I just a fan, and want to write the ideas, to give professional people like screen writer some thought when they want to create a new Star Trek.

Of course, they don't have to follow the idea. Just look at the good and throw the bad to the recycle bin.

About the "After Dominion War..." is not a sudden immediate effect to Federation. It can 100 years after the war, or much-much later.

The Idea is that the Dominion War effect the Federation Economy greatly, as the war is too big for any Nations to afford. Then, it causes domino effect to the whole quadrant. Start from multi planetary companies to colapse, the reduce of social budjet that make people need money to buy anything again, etc.

Or do you think that Federation has unlimited resource to pay everything that it's citizen need after such a great war like Dominion War? Or do you think the Dominion didn't destroy the mines, or resources planets, or other Federation facilities & infrastructures that used to pay her social spending? Remember world war 2, where both sides (Allied and Axis) suffer because of their infrastructure was destroyed because of the war. Even the USA that didn't get direct attack suffer in both social and economy. Plus, unlike USA in World War 2, Federation get immediate effect in the war, just like France and England. The Dominion enter her teritory, capture Betazed and push the Star Fleet too deep into their own teritory. Or do you think Dominion are just a bunch of idiot who didn't even thing to cripple their opponent's economy? Or do you think replicator just done it work? Just 'pop up' any new building when the old one is destroyed? Or do you think the Federation Citizens are robots that don't need anything to satisfy their need.

How could, a multi planetary nation that has a lot of different species afford to pay a nurmerous social spending even when their factories and infrastructures was destroyed during the war. And how could a multi species like Federation is free from such racism and hate? It just... natural to be broken. Federation is great, but not that strong inside. At least it from my point of view.

It easy to follow the pattern of Star Trek 2009. Handsome boybands and pretty chicks with a lot of action and love-able characters that has similarity to today young generations. The problem of the old Star Trek is that it's too serious, the characters are old (even with young actor or actress)..., and the uniforms are not cool. While Star Trek 2009 is shiny, with cool actor and actress that given a chance to act like youngster.

The Old Kirk is... well, just old. While the New Kirk is young and fresh. I think, he represent the young audiance in the world of star trek.

If you want to make a new pattern for Star Trek, just put some hip-hop generation style on it. That's how it's work. And yeah, my idea is always contain fresh young boy band and chick who act like youngster but bad ass and have belief to change the universe.

What is Andromeda? I know it is Gene Roddenberry work, and it is about a civil war, but I don't know more than that.

Andromeda was, in my opinion, a great show. Although I'm sure many would disagree. (I also liked Earth Final Conflict)

The basic premise is that the Systems Commonwealth, a vast empire spanning 3 galaxies, is betrayed from within by the Neichziens (I know I spelled that wrong.) There is a massive war, and the systems commonwealth falls. The Neichziens, however, are not strong enough to fill the power vacuum due to their own losses during the war and the galaxies fall into a dark age.

In the initial attack by the Nechziens, one ship gets trapped on the edge of the event horizon of a black hole. Frozen in time, the Andromeda Ascendant and her captain Hercules, er... Dylan Hunt are rescued 300 years later. From that point forward he embarks on a quest to rebuild the Systems Commonwealth.

Seems a bit preposterous that one single race had the power and numbers to destroy an empire spanning 3 Galaxies.

It was an attack from within and without the Commonwealth. The Neichziens were a race of genetically engineered supermen, along the same lines as Kahn. As such, and being members of the Commonwealth, they were often in lead positions through out the High Guard.

Additionally they had spent years preparing, committing to multiple sneak attacks through out Commonwealth space which devastated their forces. Around the same time, a third faction showed up on the scene, the Magog. A ravenous species that fed off others, laying the eggs of their young in the paralyzed flesh of their victims. While the Commonwealth was confronting the Neichzien treachery, the then unprotected worlds (or at least not as well protected as they used to be) were over run.

The idea of the story is very good. Very bad that I can't find it in my country, as even Star Trek is considered as rare items to hunt.
