Here's a front view if your wondering I decided to paint the the bussard collectors red they look better than the boring grey. I've decided to build three more of these and change the decals for each named shuttles !!!!

Is this the new re-pop from R2? It's been so long since I built this one that I forget what the decals looked like. I seem to recall the old kit has the other type-face that was on the Enterprise kit as well. But I could be wrong, like I said, it's been a while.
Also, what'd you use for the greeblies on the aft end?

R2 hasn't gotten around to repopping the shuttle yet but AMT/Ertl did correct the decals when they repopped it back in the 90's.
We (the sci-fi modeling community) are hoping R2 at least re-tools the back end of the ship when they get around to the repop. Thankfully, they're correcting some details on the Enterprise B repop coming at the end of the year and we're PRAYING that they decide to tool up the half-dozen parts it will take to backdate that kit to the Excelsior since AMT in their infinite wisdom decided to permanently alter the original Excelsior mold to make the B the first time.

Hi I scratch built the parts for the aft section from plastic sheets looked at pictures and refs from warped9 tech pics his own designs had some great pics from all views very good tech pictures.
The kit is the 1991 star trek 25th anner from AMT/ERTL very hard to get and still make there money one cost me £40 !!!!
I remember building this one when it first came out, not the most detailed model but fun none the less when complete. Everyone loves the original shuttle, they all picked it up and played with it as they walked past. Yours is rather better built than mine was.
Thanks I have not made any star trek model kits in seven years. Don't think I've lost my touch. !!!
