I vaguely recall from a behind-the-scenes thing once, that Seven's catsuits were designed especially to prevent camel toe.
I never noticed any, but if anyone wants to point me to episodes and scenes that show otherwise, I'm fine with being proven wrong on this one:lol:.

I generally do like catsuits in Trek but Seven's catsuits were just so demeaning in their design that I couldn't help but feel sorry for Ryan. If they had put her in a slightly more organic catsuit like those worn by T'Pol or Kes, it would have been much better.
And let her damned hair down!

It wasn't often, but I believe I noticed one particular moment around Season 7.... and as kimc said, there were a few shots when the camera was looking up towards her that sorta threw "things" in your face, lol.

Then there was that episode where the doctor took over her body and she got all drunk with her legs all sprawled out.... not as noticeable as Troi's occasional cameltoes, but they were there from time to time.

    Not that I'm complaining, lol.

I agree, but then I'm biased towards ladies in Federation uniforms. :p

Also agreed. If you're going to do a form-clinging uniform, at least make the fabric heavier than nylon, a la this. :bolian:

As far as those costumes, she was meant to be the ultimate eye candy-and it worked.

She's something of an household name or at least she made it into pop culture.

That uniform was meant to hug ever curve on the female bod.

There's scene in "The Gift" where we get to see the 'revealing' of Seven right after they remove some of the implants.

She is in the skin tight uniform and looks to be doing this pose as the camera slowly zooms in on her.

Funny, even as an assimilated Bor she was sexy-they showed off her figure.

But she did a good job acting as assimilated Borg Seven too, which her character built off of.

That and every sci-fi show has a sexy babe in it, Seven was this for Voyager.
Gene Roddenberry was always infusing sexuality in Trek(Hello, doesn't anybody remember all the half naked people running around TOS & TNG when Gene was still producing the show?), now suddenly we've become appaled at a women in a full body leotard? If Gene was still alive, she;d probably be in nothing but a bra & panties. Compared to what Gene was getting away with, Seven's catsuit is tasteful & respectful.

It's like nobody has ever heard of Emma Peel.

^ nuBSG had a lot of sexy characters in it and unlike Trek they were actually having sex. Not one of them needed a catsuit to get laid, strangely enough....

    Strangely enough, neither did Seven.
It was all the folks in Starfleet uniforms that were sexually promiscous, even the hologram Doctor.

No, but some of them did need cocktail dresses or just to be nude an awful lot.

They should have put her in a potato sack. She'd still look amazing

I found Jeri Ryan sexy in her numerous catsuit incarnations, but I didn't find it appropriate for her new station on board. She's a technical member of the Voyager crew. She should be in an appropriate uniform. Now, there are some uniform variations that have been tolerated before. We have T'Pol and Deanna Troi who have had custom variations. Personally, I think T'Pol had some nice ones. Some are too "catsuit" like, while others are more like work jumpsuits. I'd have liked to have seen 7of9 in one of those for her duty uniform.

But if she had to be in a catsuit, I'd say it would be the silver one. It's the one that looks most Borg-like. One could also say that after the removal of all the Borg implants and having been a Borg for so many years from a young age, she needed a special "sheath" over her skin to help condition it and prevent infection. Although... we see no real case for that when she has been shown without clothes on in some episodes, and her skin is blemish free.

We also never get an explanation as to why she has just two external Borg implants left--the one over her left eye and left hand. Maybe they're benign enough and actually provide a benefit, that it was decided to leave them in. Certainly the internal nano-probes are still there, as well as the tubule stingers.

Good one! I'd forgotten about Jessica's Fantastic 4 uniform. A slight Federation variation on this would have been great for 7of9...

    Something more like this:

It's not my favorite of T'Pol's uniforms, but the lighting worked well for the substitution. :)

Another variation... I wanted to show 7of9 in this particular T'Pol costume, but I couldn't locate a good shot of Ryan's head to go with it. Also, knowing how tall she is, standing next to the others make Archer and Trip look enormous. ;)

In the lap of squalor I assure you.
Isn't it odd that Terrorist farmers, terrorist political dissidents and terrorist psychopaths were included into the chain of command but the grand daughter of an Admiral virgin to all the wrong doings in the galaxy was allowed to sit this one out?

The maquis were drafted prison labour who most people back home would have wanted to see buried in a mass grave after all the bollocks they put the federation through leading up to the Dominion War. It was fair game to play fast and loose with their civil liberties considering they didn't even accept that they were federation citizens, and at least some of them who had would up living in cardassian space when the border shifted were actually Cardassian citizens (Maybe that's what Jonas was all about? No? He was Starfleet. Must have been a sex thing.) after being disenfranchised by the Federation...

And on the other hand an Admirals grandaughter.

Any thought about informing the young lady that she was a petty officer in charge of scrubbing manifolds until she proved herself (Lets face it if this was a meritocracy, Seven should have been the Chief Engineer and B'Elanna would have had to have stepped down gracefully just like Carey stepped down Gracefully.) would not have gone down well in the beginning.

That is also certainly why Tom got Pips instead of a rank badge like all the rest of the Maquis, what with his father being an Admiral, Janeway would have been equally careful of the political fallout from roughing up either Seven or Paris.
