NASA helps out trapped Chilean miners

Why would such tests have biased results?
It's not just the isolation they are dealing with. The quality of living under that circumstances is a lot worse than on a space station or on a Mars base. They don't have a lavatory or a bathroom, they don't have the best source of food supplies, they aren't there by choice, they weren't prepare for it, and on the other hand they have a rescue team trying to get them out that's somewhere out there for them all the time, while any future astronauts will be locked out with few people caring about them, and with several months of guaranteed stay, and with millions of kilometres to the rest of humanity. Only the isolation part is the same.

That's true, at least the miners can communicate with the outside world. On Mars it takes 15 minutes for signals to reach Earth, and if somethnig goes wrong no one will be coming for more than 4 months.

Four of the Andes Survivors have travelled to Chile to talk to the miners.

I think that these miners are in a situation similar (but much better) than the Andes Survivors. The miners have a better food and water source and unlike the Andes Survivors they now have contact with the outside world so their isolation and fear isn't as extreme. Like the Andes Survivors they have a lavatory problem. Unlike the Andes Survivors they don't have serious injured people to care for. Like the Andes Survivors they aren't there by choice and weren't that prepared for it - but I would say that miners are more prepared for a cave in than a group of young men were for being stranded on a mountain. Like the Andes Survivors hey long for their families.

Andes survivor - Ok, look around for a guy who works out/has muscle mass. But don't pick the guy with too low a body fat! Fat is flavor. Did you find someone? good....
