Still not sold on the movie especially the visual design. I always pictured Asgard like Norse villages back then.. lots of stone, leather, wood and such. Think Lord of the Rings.

Why would Gods be living in houses made from mud and sticks? The designs they've gone for in the movie are the right choice. A LOTR aesthetic would've been absurd.

I'm not talking about peasant houses.. i'm talking about the residences of the Kings, i.e. their castles and strongholds.

To me the design of the buildings and halls look more like a SF version of modern corporate buildings, i.e. lots os polished surfaces, glass and designed elements.

Not something i associated with mythical beings.
