I will be flying from here in asheville, nc to Atlanta and more than likely landing in amsterdam or somewhere and on to Prague and then I am not sure from there. I guess I will have to go through security here in asheville and then again in atlanta for international

So, you have to stand in line for hours to get through security?
Okay - you did good by flying out of Ashville.

Then you will at least miss the Hartsfield ticket/check-in line - that is an absolute nightmare and often takes well over an hour (I have been on that line for 2 hours on occasion) - especially if you fly Delta since there are about a million Delta flights out of here and some people insist upon flying with all of their worldly possessions in-tow (all of which they choose to check).
Since I have lived in Atlanta since 1996, I have never flown
thru Atlanta from someplace else (at least since before 9/11), so I don't know what sort of security they are going to put you through at Hartsfield, if any. "Regular" security for passengers originating in Atlanta is a PITA though - a long line (although not as long as the ticket/check-in for Delta line, which is the longest line in the history of the universe) But presumably you will have enough time - the airline typically builds that sort of thing in when booking your connecting flights. I know this much, you will likely have a long walk/ride via the underground train from the gate you land at (which will be a domestic gate) to the international terminal (which is the last stop at the end of the train line). So be prepared for that bit to take a while.
