Fleet Admiral
How great is this show? Honestly?

Drop in and mention your favorite character, your favorite joke (recurring or otherwise) and let's bask in the brilliance of Mitch Hurwitz' hilarious Bluth family and their misadventures.

Very clearly the show took on big corporate greed and the collapse of such, the way 24 took on the war on terror ... And there's even a crossover between the two shows (sort of - Bluth family staircar appears in an episode of 24).

What's your favorite memory of Arrested Development?

For me, it has to be more of an effect the show has had on me and my (several) friends who also all loved it. Very often one of us will leave a random quote on someone's Facebook page, thus beginning a massive quote war where we each come back with another quote. Geeky? Yes. Unproductive? Certainly. Laugh-inducing? Definitely.

And as anyone who knows me knows, I'll take just about any reason to laugh.

If anyone needs me, i'll be in the hospital bar. I recently introduced this show to some friends and they just finished the first season yesterday, and so far, they are loving it. Lucille is a total bitch, but we all love that! They saw their first chicken dance too. :D

One of the best sitcoms ever.

The Motherboy Dance...

George Michael's cousin lust....

And of course, my personal hero:

Tobias Funke, Anal-Rapist.

This show was so goddamned funny it's amazing.

Agreed, no idea what FOX was thinking. But hey, this was after they stepped all over Firefly, right? So how surprised can we be? :)

"He's very good."

"I've made a huge mistake."

Still hoping they'll make a movie. I don't know whether this kind of humor can hold up for feature-length, but I'm very curious to find out!

One of the funniest sitcoms ever. Hell, probably the funniest.

I still say "her?" all the time in conversation :D

The funniest bit was probably analrapist, though.

OMG, when I met my best friend's fiance for the first time the first thought to go through my head (thankfully not out my mouth) was "Him?"

"You'll get no blah blah blah with Bob Loblaw! And don't forget to check out the Bob Loblaw Law Blog!"

Tobias: My wife is humiliated. This is my chance to right the small wrong that I did.

Michael
: You shot her in the ass with about four ounces of horse tranquilizer.

Tobias
: I haven’t been the perfect husband — yes, I admit that.

Tobias: Well, Michael, you really are quite the Cupid, aren’t you? I tell you, you can zing your arrow into my buttocks any time.

Michael: Okay, you know what you do? You buy yourself a tape recorder, you just record yourself for a whole day. I think you’re going to be surprised at some of your phrasing.

It's the funniest show I ever watched, it's almost hard to believe how sublimely hysterical it could be. I just started rewatching it again last week because I haven't seen it for gods know how long.

My favourite joke is Tobias being run over while dressed as a Blue Man at twilight, that was the first episode I really watched and that was the moment that hooked me. I'm trying not to remember too many others so that they can feel fresh during my rewatch.

I should probably leave the thread now. :vulcan:

It was all funny. But the single funniest ep was the one with the Japanese investors. Put together like a precision watch. I did not see the resolution coming, and I really did fall about laughing when it happened.

"No touching! NO TOUCHING!"

"I would cry but I might need the moisture."

"Hey, brother."

"It's not a magic trick dad... it's an illusion."

"Go ahead, call me something. I'm redecorating my kitchen."

"I don't know. It was a darkish area with... points."

"Does anyone know where I could get one of those gold T-shaped pendants?"

"Mother are you baiting the balcony again?"

"I don't understand the question and I won't respond to it."

"Old thing gave it to me."

"Hermano..."

"I blue myself."

"Actually I deceived you. "Tricked" makes it sound like we have a playful relationship."

"Mom signed me up for Army. Some fat man dared her too."

"I am a MONSTER!"

"Marry me!"

"Let's just say that I'm buy-curious."

"Sky-rockets in flight... afternoon delight!"

"This is the last time you will see these!"

Hands down one of the BEST comedies to arrive on my tele in a very long time. I don't think there is a bad episode in the bunch either. But my love for the AD is so great that all three seasons are on continual rotation in the DVD player. Every night before I go to bed I watch one episode of Arrested and one episode of Frasier. I think I could repeat back all the lines with the actors at this point. :rommie:

And my favorite character is Lucille. As for my best memory, I don't really have one. Watching this show just got me through some very tough times in my life.

---I'll have the Ike and Tina Tuna.
---Plate or platter?
---I don't understand the question, and I won't respond to it.

"You'll get no blah blah blah with Bob Loblaw! And don't forget to check out the Bob Loblaw Law Blog!"

"Bob Loblaw Lobs Law Bomb." And i totally love John Beard as the news anchor on the show.

For those of you not in the LA Area, John Beard was the nightly anchor on FOX's LA affiliate, before he was fired.

"It's not a trick, Michael, it's an illusion. A trick is something a whore does for money."

Looks at shocked children.

"Or...cocaine."

:guffaw:

And that's just a couple minutes into the first episode!
