The actor in question is former NFL/AFL DB Fred Williamson, and the character was neurosurgeon Dr. Oliver Harmon Jones ("better known as 'Spearchucker' Jones") once of the 49ers, and requisitioned to the 4077th for his football skills. He's good.

Another MASH-Star Trek connection: in the movie, Rene Auberjenois plays Father Mulchahy.

What skin and a full figure. Like that. Anyone have a pic of Vanna's face. I think she was pretty in an opposite way to mavig. and she was a little bossy, but I like that too.

In the M*A*S*H TV series, the role of Spearchucker Jones was played by another former NFL star, Timmy Brown of the Eagles.

I must say that I'm a little suprised that so many have chosen Sally Kellerman. She was mildly attractive, but hot? I just don't see it.
I had forgotten about the chick from The Galileo Seven. She was smokin'!

Well, her personality was cool and distant in WNMHGB, but that's how the character was written.

But honestly -- only “mildly attractive”? Take a look at her in this classic Outer Limits ep and tell me she's not gorgeous.

And tall. I like tall women.

She had a sexy voice too.

Yes, she's lovely in dark lighting and soft focus!

Yep, I'm just watching all the Remastered eps right now, many of which I haven't seen for at least 20 years, and I find my breath regularly being taken away — "Ooooh, I forgot all about her!"

But I'll never forget Barbara Bouchet as Kelinda, especially when Kirk goes to "apologize" to her, saying he doesn't "usually go around beating up beautiful women", to which she innocently inquires, "Why not?"

I don't know, I thought Susan Oliver as Vina looked a little rough...

Man, what excellent makeup. Mike Westmore couldn't touch that work (unlike much of the rest of his family).

:techman: X 100. There were definitely other beautiful women in TOS, but Marianna Hill takes top billing for me. Definitely.

    Following her, I'd take:
    #2 Emily Banks
    #3 Sherry Jackson
    #4 Barbara Bouchet

She's got the looks and the look. Certainly pretty but she knows how to put on a seductive smile and all that.

That fake human Andromedan and the android Andrea were pretty too, but looked like they'd lie about (as they say where I come from) like a sack of spuds in bed.
