Big Brother USA starts next Thursday, one week from today, but if previous seasons have been any indication the Houseguests have been in the house for a little while now. In this thread we will discuss the series, as well as anything seen onthe online or "After Dark" portions of the series. So be warned there will likely be spoilers for the weekly episodes.

So let us discuss!

Who will be the asshole?

Who will be the slut?

Who will be the rules-manipulator?

Who will be the innocent hottie we all love?

How hot will Julie Chen look this year?

Let's get our Big Brother on!

Meh. Can't bring myself to care about this series anymore. I think when the two biggest fans here (AstroSmurf and moi) have given up on the show, well, it's time to let it go.

Well I still love the show! I'll be watching After Dark this year just like I did last year. The best part is that I am getting the east coast Showtime feeds, so I will be able to watch After Dark from 9-12 instead of 12-3.

I read a rumor that there was supposed to be 14 houseguests but one backed out at the last minute, so there are only 13 now.

This site has some photos, details, and video of the new cast.

And here is the official video of the new house with Julie Chen.

:)

Warning - Live Feed Spoilers

Who will be the asshole?

My guess is Andrew. From what I've picked up on the live feeds, everyone dislikes him. The house guests highly suspect he's the saboteur - but he has his weenier immunity, so he's not going anywhere this week. Next week however...

Who will be the slut?

Rachel (the redhead) and Brendon (the swim coach) might fall under this category. Those two were making out last night. Kissing on day 5 - how long before full-on blanket bumping?

Who will be the rules-manipulator?

Are we talking saboteur? My guess is it's a lady. I'm thinking either Kathy of Kristen.

Who will be the innocent hottie we all love?

Britney's a looker. But Kathy is already workin' her way into my favorites category. I have a feeling she could be the viewer favorite of the season. BTW, did anyone catch the bruises on Kathy's arms? One of the challenges obviously beat the sh*t out of her!

How hot will Julie Chen look this year?

100% less pregnant. That doesn't hurt. ;)

Let's get our Big Brother on!

Sound's good. Should be a fun season.

Not quite what I was talking about, didn't know about the twist when I made the post, but more that there's normaly someone on the show who knows how to manipulate or push the rules just so to annoy people, get by, yet not get kicked or voted out.

And, geeze. When they get the token homosexual guy for these shows do they have to get the most flaming stereotype they can find? Oh, let's get the guy from West Hollywood with effeminate mannerisms, flamboyant talk and crushes on/hope to convert the dumb hunky guy.

Interesting episode, the challenge looked pretty brutal and cannot imagine it was easy to do, and shame about what's her name hurting her leg. Interesting episode if a bit under-stated considering it was the premiere. Interesint "twist" on this year's game. We'll see how it goes.

Andrew (Hot Dog Guy) was is he the doctor? Whoever was the doctor was an asshole and possibliy violating the ethics he's supposed to stand for as a doctor by not helping the girl when she got hurt. I wonder if he would've done the same if someone had a heart attack or something (Hey! Where's this year's old guy?) Seriously dude? You're that in need to win this game that you couldn't jump down there and make sure she didn't have a compound-break or was in need of some-kind-of help that a doctor would better be able to give? Asshole. Probably didn't do it because he figured she didn't have her insurance card on her.

^There were probably other doctors around, ready to help, so there wasn't anything he could have done that they didn't.

I watched After Dark and I've been reading the feed updates and it does seem that pretty much everyone is irritated by Andrew.

I don't know who the saboteur is. My first guesses would be Matt, Kathy, or Brendan. But honestly it could be anyone.

I'm actually surprised that there was so much game talk on After Dark last night. Usually at this point they are still all buddy-buddy and hanging out in a big group with alcohol.

CBS has a medical staff standing right nearby, I don't think he should get all the hell you're reigning down on him. If someone had a heart attack, I doubt he'd stand by. If he did, then I might agree with you.

My thoughts from episode one:

- Pretty much hate Monet from the start; Chima part two.
- Got to love the ratings grab with the Annie bisexual line in her introduction
- Why does CBS only find the most effeminate gay men in America? I want Ragan gone ASAP.
- I never thought we’d find a stupider muscle man than Nick, but we got one in Hayden.
- I have a lot of respect for Andrew, who like Kaysar, is not going to compromise his religion for TV.
- Julie Chen still grates on my nerves.
- Great to see Future Guy from Enterprise getting work!
- All of these women are just horrible, dreadful, and not worth cheering for. I think the line “All I want to do is jump on those huge wieners” sums it up pretty well.
- I’ll give Hayden credit for getting his team across in the HOH.
- Usually I like small city girls and girls with large breasts, but I still want Britney and Rachel gone first.
- “They must have done that when it was dark.” No, really?
- I’ll be cheering for Matt, Lane, Enzo, and Andrew so far.
- I think my IQ dropped twenty points watching this.

It's crazy how much paying attention to the feeds changes your opinion of people, even after only one day. At first I disliked Monet and Enzo, but after watching After Dark and reading feed updates I have warmed to them. Kathy and Kristen are just sort of there. I really liked Annie after the first episode but now I can't stand her at all. Hayden is alright. Lane is dumb as a rock but likeable. Britney is smart and non-irritating, so that is good. Rachel is okay but kind of annoying. Andrew...you got to feel sorry for him, everyone seems to dislike him, and he is kind of annoying in the way that he talks to people, but I don't think he's that bad at this point. Brendan is full of himself.

My favorites at this point are Matt and Ragan. They are both intelligent and seem to know the game well. They aren't irritating and seem like genuinely nice people.

Episode 2 thoughts:

- Ragan is still annoying.
- They really need to try a new HOH room floor plan.
- Rachel is still as grating as Holly once was on the nerves.
- This game is full of the sluttiest look nerds ever.
- If the alliance of Hayden, Enzo, Lane, Matt, Kathy, and Monet went to the end, I don’t think I’d complain. However, not only do these alliances never last, most people who say they could run the game don’t last long.
- Why does it feel like the editing is favoring Annie?
- Best quote: “I think one of my pinky toes sucked in” – Lane
- I think this has been the first season of BB where I’ve liked so many people right off the bat and disliked the other half.
- Britney is no Jordan.
- Another good quote is Matt questioning how Kathy is a sheriff and she can’t get through caramel.
- Future Guy needs a cough drop.
- Can we just vote Rachel out now?

Another good quote is Matt questioning how Kathy is a sheriff and she can’t get through caramel.

My response to that: "Yeah, crawling through a thick, sticky, viscous substance and sheriffing. That's the same thing."

Yeah it was lame that she just laid there uselessly but com'on it's hardly daming evidence to her ability as a sheriff. If Dangle can do it in tight boy-shorts... ;)

I also think it is funny that some are using that and the dude brushing his teeth during the "blackout" the other night, or the guy being alone when the tape appeared on the face-wall as "evidence" that the person is the saboteur. Firstly, I'm not sure the saboteur is doing things like throwing the competition. That strikes me as being far too obvious a thing to do. I think it's more like what happened the other night where "Big Brother" cut-off the lights while the "saboteur" locked the pantry door.

But, come on! They're not going to be so blatantly obvious as to lay like a useless lump in a vat of syrup to throw a challenge -esp in such a manner as to make their own life miserable in the "Have Nots" room. Which, BTW, hilariously terrible. I did like how Red-Haired Slutty Chick was like "OMG! There's maggots in there! Above my head!"

Me: "Um, yeah.... Sealed in glass jars, so... No big deal."

I've gathered from reading feed updates that Kathy was pretty sick the first couple of days in the house. Last night on After Dark she said that she had an IV in her arm before the Have/Have-Not Competition and production gave her the choice of playing or not and she chose to play because she didn't want to seem like a wuss.

Annie is fine in the CBS episodes but on the feeds she is ANNOYING! I can't stand her. She is consistently rated the least favorite character on the favorite player polls I see each day.

I will watch the show every time it is on. I really like this show. I think the cast needs to be more devilish . I hope this is a great season.:techman:

So what's the rule re: spoilers.

I think once it's been broadcast, it should be allowed as fodder in the thread. I know being EST, I'll get stuff first.

Thoughts? Comments?

Thursday night thoughts, don't read if you don't want to be spoiled!

- Is it just that I never noticed or do they ever play up this show-mance stupidity? But to be honest, picking the girl with the most annoying voice to be one half of it? I don’t care if she’s got huge breasts, I can’t do anything if I’m plugging my ears.
- Annie is the stupidest human being in the game, bitching and whining at everyone is going to get you votes?
- Enzo is going to pull a Howie (when he got voted out in all-stars) when his time comes.
- Annie as the saboteur? Couldn’t pick someone likeable CBS?
- These people are tools! Future Guy says that the saboteur escaped the block and they believe it! Epic face palm.
- Britney has to go, please please please. They didn’t pick one girl worth rooting for, even though they tried to replicate Jordan with her accent. And the whole face-pulling during the vote made me want to puke. And then fashion advice in the goodbye message? Please spare me.
- Once again, Julie Chen is about as interesting as watching paint dry. Every word, every moment, seems to be programmed like the Chen-bot nick name.
- Rachel’s goodbye message: seriously? Get a grip, you’ve known him for all of two weeks and you’re bitching another girl out over him? Seriously?
- Rachel as HOH. Great, more showmance bullshit in the broadcasts. We don’t care CBS! And who doesn’t believe Hayden will be on the block. Wow, drama.

So what's the rule re: spoilers.

In the OP I put there I, personally, was going to be open about spoilers. Do whatever you think is best.

I'm glad Rachel is staying and I've got two very good reasons why. The "mole" thing is done, early, so I wonder what they're going to come up with next to drive the season-long gimmick?

Oh, and did Julie borrow her wardrobe tonight from Counselor Troi?

I am also glad Rachel stayed, but I really thought Andrew was the the person to play tricks.

Actually, I believe that Hayden will not be nominated. Everyone seems to like him and they don't really blame him for what happened...who knows what Brendon would have done and what still might end up happening, but it looks like Britney and Monet will be nominated.

It was disappointing that Annie was the saboteur, because she was annoying and because she's out so soon. Before the show ever started I thought it might be her, but after seeing her on After Dark I quickly changed my mind because she was so irritating!

Britney is really bad though. She is definitely a "mean girl," constantly talking shit about anyone who walks out of the room. I hope she goes home this week, and it looks like that might be a major possibility.

The showmance stuff is annoying and Rachel just makes it worse. That laugh is so irritating. And they really do talk like two teenagers who just fell in love and believe they will be together forever. They have even talked about moving to go to universities closer to each other!! It's ridiculous.

I believe this thread is completely open to spoilers. I watch After Dark each night and I read the updates of the live feed during the day, so it's hard to discuss the show here without mentioning what I've seen or read. Nominations will be tomorrow, so we'll see what happens then!

I put in the OP that there will be spoilers from AD and the feeds so anyone upset about spoilers has only themselves to blame.
