Even by your standards, that was groanworthy.I bought them all and burned them. Average people have no place here!

Damn! I was imagining lengthening the hem on my roommate's trousers a little bit every day so he'd think he was shrinking, or giving people wedgies without touching them. Oh, the hijinks I would get up to!I mean, it wouldn't change shape A LOT, just enough to make it fit better. Mens shirts these days all seem to be made for super skinny emo kids and giant fat people. Where are the clothes for the average-sized people?!
Yeah, but my prescription is so strong that the glasses weigh a lot and dig into my nose. It kind of kills the whole sexy factor when your glasses are as thick as the Hubble.![]()
I have contacts but I have trouble with them because of an astigmatism that makes them irritate my left eye.

I can dig it. Thank goodness glasses are so much lighter now than when I was a kid. Those Clark Kent glasses weighed more than my head.Seriously! When my opthalmologist told me I needed glasses my first thought was, "YES! A fashion accessory I have to buy!"And lose the benefits of sexy glasses? Pass.![]()

I like to think that he's America's iguana_tonante.Same here. I kinda like wearing glasses, but there are times when it would be handy to see well beyond two yards without corrective lenses (sports come to mind). On the other hand, my glasses makes me look smarter, which considering it's me we are talking about, it's saying something.
I think your Italy's JonathanWally.
I've actually converted to this view more as of late. I decided that now that I had to get new glasses recently I'd actually get some that I thought looked great instead of keeping with my former philosophy. Which was that glasses where a necessary evil. See, I'd never really come to terms with that I have to wear glasses and now I decided that I didn't need another aspect of that I hated, so great looking glasses go!Seriously! When my opthalmologist told me I needed glasses my first thought was, "YES! A fashion accessory I have to buy!"Fix my eyes so I don't have to wear glasses anymore.

Having said all that, I wouldn't change anything really - I have accepted my body and have finally learned to dress and handle myself in a way that I am comfortable with. I try to spend more time being thankful and grateful, rather than being overly critical. I am what I am. I want to focus on my spirit - which needs far more work, and is more achievable goal.
get rid of the hair on my arms. But is there really anything out there that gets rid of hair permanently?
My glasses aren't too thick (featherweights), however my next prescription will probably have bifocals *sighs*
Yeah, I think I am as well unless my eyesight stops getting progressively worse. I have to get a new prescription every couple of years. My mom was legally blind even with her glasses, and I think I'm headed there too![]()
I'm trying to get to that point myself. It's odd, I think my skin would be the first thing I'd want to change, but honestly, I'm better about accepting it now. The only things I'd really like to change about my body are things like my allergies, asthma, back issues, etc. Things that keep me from being active and enjoying outdoor activities and other things that could promote my general health.
I'd like to lose weight, and I'm on my way there, but setbacks like the cold or whatever it is I have right now are such a bummer. I'll be doing great with my exercise and then I end up just having to sit around for weeks at a time and it drives me crazy.
Anyway, I guess I'm saying I'm mostly content with my body and the things I'm not content with, I think I can grow to accept.

I can't wait 'til he chimes in.
